A Note from Mrs. Mitchell...
Step 1: Ask him 15 times to do his laundry.
Step 2: Task initiated. The laundry is in the washing machine.
Step 3: Ask him 15 times to transfer the laundry to the dryer.
Step 4: Task initiated. The laundry is in the dryer.
Step 5: Turn on the dryer because two hours later I realize that he has forgotten this step.
Step 6: Ask him 15 times to remove the laundry from the dryer.
Step 7: Throw an adult tantrum until he tells me to chill and finally transfers the laundry to the basket.
Step 8: Laundry sits in basket for 2-5 days.
Step 9: Throw another adult tantrum because it's day 5 and the laundry is still sitting in the basket, next to the stairs, unfolded.
Step 10: Task initiated. The folding process, that has a 10 step process of its own, takes place in my living room and could last anywhere between 1 hour and 3 days.
There are no more steps because from there, the folded laundry stays in the basket until the dreadful cycle starts again. The silver lining? At least he does his own laundry.
Teacher Appreciation Week
We would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to our awesome PTA and Lead Teacher, Glenda Gustafson, for organizing the most amazing Teacher Appreciation Week! Our teachers were spoiled every day and have never felt so loved and valued. They take great pride in working with your children, and they love them beyond belief. Your sincere appreciation for the impact they have on your kids makes this job the best on the planet. THANK YOU!

Planning for 2024-2025 Athletics
If your child is planning on participating in a sport in the fall, now is a great time to schedule a sports physical! This is typically something that gets procrastinated, and then parents are left stressed and scrambling to get it done at the last minute. Students will not be able to try out or practice until an updated sports physical has been submitted to the nurse's office.
Additionally, it's important to know that many of our sports have a rule concerning the wearing of jewelry during competitions. Any ear or nose piercings must be removable by the time your child's sport begins in the fall or winter. Keep this in mind as you consider new choices this summer.
