Change - Arrival for Next Year Begins at 7:30 AM
The 7:00 AM early open at Wilkinson was implemented to accommodate the 1,000 students that were enrolled over the last couple of school years. Wilkinson has been re-zoned and there will be a drop in enrollment. Therefore, next year the campus will return to the standard Conroe ISD 7:30 AM opening.
We will send this information out multiple times and are announcing this now so that you can begin to make arrangements for next year. Keep in mind, bus service is a great way to get your child to school.
Message from the Principal...
Parents/Guardians-
As we approach the end of another school year, I am filled with a sense of gratitude and pride for the growth and success of students. Wilkinson Elementary has once again created an environment where every child thrives academically, socially, and emotionally.
I want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you for your unwavering support throughout the year. Whether it was volunteering your time, attending parent-teacher conferences, or simply offering a word of encouragement, your involvement has been instrumental in creating a nurturing and enriching learning environment for our students and staff.
On behalf of the entire faculty and staff, I wish you and your families a safe, rejuvenating, and joy-filled summer break. May it be a time of rest, reflection, and cherished moments spent with loved ones. Thank you once again for your ongoing commitment to our school community. Together, we truly make a difference.
Retirement
After 31 years serving Conroe ISD as an educator I have made the decision to retire at the end of this school year. I will be forever grateful that I had the opportunity to become part of the Wilkinson family.
I am confident in your new leader, Mrs. Laura Bringmann. She is genuine, approachable and more than prepared to take the lead at Wilkinson Elementary. I know that she will continue to uphold the values, rituals and traditions that make this campus so special.

From the New Principal - Mrs. Laura Bringmann
Hello Wilkinson Lions!
It is my pleasure to serve you as your next principal at Wilkinson Elementary! My name is Laura Bringmann and my family and I are rooted here in Conroe ISD. I began my educational career in Aldine ISD where I was a 4th grade teacher. I then became the math instructional coach and came to Conroe ISD in 2019 as an instructional coach. Afterwards, I served at Milam Elementary for 3 years as an assistant principal. Prior to moving to Texas, I was born and raised in Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire for my bachelors degree in Elementary Education. After moving to Texas in 2012, I attended Sam Houston State University for my masters degree. In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my husband Logan, who is a teacher and wrestling coach, and my son Lincoln, who is going to celebrate his 1st birthday this May. We have a dog named Ellie Jane and two cats named, Vanilla and Bean. When I’m not spending time with my family, I enjoy my passion for music. I play the viola and love performing at weddings in a string quartet.
I am committed to exemplifying the deep values Conroe ISD embodies, such as perseverance and hard work, as these are values that have been instilled in me since I was a child. I am committed to giving my all to Wilkinson Elementary, its students, staff and community, to ensure that at Wilkinson Elementary, all students means all, and all students feel successful, supported, and loved. Thank you and I look forward to meeting you and your families!

SAFETY UPDATES 2024
- Front Office Entrance: This entry is designated for buses and special needs students ONLY. We will not be accepting Late Arrivals if the Car Rider Line is still active.
- Fire Lane (Front Office): This is a No Parking Zone at all times! This is the policy ALL DAY LONG even if you are just dropping off or picking up, please park in a designated spot.
- Fire Lane (Car Rider Line): The car rider line starts lining up early and that is perfectly fine, just remember that your car should NEVER BE LEFT UNATTENDED.
- Lunches: Feel free to come and enjoy lunch with your student. We have limited space due to our growth, therefore, you will need to sign up on the link below. During your lunch visit please park in a designated parking spot, stay with your child in your reserved table and please do not roam the cafeteria, hallways or classrooms. We truly want to create the safest possible environment for all of our students.
TIPS FOR A FAST ARRIVAL
- Once you enter the parking lot, have your student ready to exit the vehicle with backpack on.
- If your child was not able to get out of the car and needs additional assistance, please pull forward after cone #1 and someone will assist you.
- If you entered the parking lot, are next to the sidewalk and your child is a 2nd - 4th grader, they do not have to wait for staff or safety patrol to open and close the door. They may go ahead and come on down.
- Doors open at 7:00 AM.
- It takes about 7-8 minutes once you turn from Ed Kharbat Dr. to enter the building. Please give yourselves enough time so that our lions can be inside campus doors before 8:00 a.m. especially when it is raining.
Eating Lunch with Your Child
We love having our parents for lunch! You MUST sign up online for an open slot before arriving at the school. There will be NO onsite sign-up available. We will only allow up to 6 adults per lunch period, so be sure to sign up early to save your spot. If a date you are signing up for is not listed, this means the campus is not allowing visitors on that day. This occurs at times throughout the school year for reasons such as state testing, campus events etc.
A MESSAGE FROM OUR NURSE

Volunteering
When you get to the School Selection portion, please select Wilkinson Elementary (and any other school you may wish to volunteer at this school year) then click the green "Add" button to add to the school list. If you do not see Wilkinson Elementary listed as one of your selected schools, please go back and try again. Unfortunately, we cannot see that you have completed the application if Wilkinson is not selected. You will receive an email confirmation typically within 24-48 hours.
If you arrive for a volunteer opportunity and have not completed the background check, you will not be permitted to stay for the activity. Please pass this information along to any grandparents, aunts, uncles or family friends who may wish to come help out. The background check applies to anyone who will be working with our Lions.
This is a yearly application so even if you completed this form at the end of last school year, it does not renew automatically. You must complete it again for the 23-24 year.
Thank you so much for your assistance with keeping our Lions safe!
