Supportive Spartan Golf had a successful Almont League Season and CIF post-season. We are proud of your support for one another, your courageous hard work, and your resilience.

Courageous

Courageous Spartan, Dang Tran, is now in the Schurr Track and Field Hall of Fame. He has the 2nd all-time longest discuss throw at an astonishing 160' 8". We are proud of his courageous hard work reaching such an achievement. Well done!

Hardworking

Hardworking Spartan Track and Field had a superb season. We thank you for your hard work as you continuously improved throughout the season. We are proud of your resilience and uplifting spirit.

Uplifting

Uplifting Spartan Fashion Club created an amazing Fashion Show with clothes designed and fabricated by our own students. Students repurposed clothes from thrift stores, updated them, and created "fits" that would make any fashion designer proud. Congratulations!

Responsible

Responsible Spartan Seniors from AVID were recognized by the AVID team for their responsible hard work. AVID students were accepted to UCs throughout California and received multiple scholarships. We applaud you for all your resilience.

Respectful

Respectful Spartan Girls League Senior Officers were recognized by their community for their supportive collaboration, courageous communication, critical thinking, hard work, and uplifting spirt as they created a respectful and responsible Girls League culture.

Critical Thinker

Mireya Vargas is Schurr's Valedictorian! Mireya was recognized at Schurr's Annual Renaissance Rally by her community in the company of her supportive and uplifting family. We commend you for your critical thinking, hard work, and courageous communication these past four years. We are immensely proud of your achievements. We are excited to see how you will improve our world.

Collaborator/ Communicator

Schurr's Annual Spring Renaissance Rally was a tremendous success. Thank you to Mr. Seto and the Renaissance Leadership Club for their supportive collaboration, courageous communication, hard work and critical thinking creating another amazingly unforgettable experience at Schurr High Shool.

Creator

Claudia Monreal, Schurr's Student Activities Director, was voted as Schurr's Staff Member of the Year. She was recognized by our community at this Spring's Renaissance Rally. Without a doubt, her supportive collaboration, courageous communication, critical thinking and hard work create an uplifting culture at Schurr. Congratulations!

Spartan Spirit

Gratitude: Thank you to Carlos Avila and the AVID Club for a spectacular AVID Senior Awards Celebration. Thank you to the AVID team--Vanessa Favela, Jenafer Hansen, Jerry Ortiz, Matthew Schwarz, and Joseph Zelidon for their hard work ensuring a successful AVID Awards Ceremony.

Gratitude: Thank you to Kenny Seto and Renaissance Club for another successful Renaissance Rally. Thank you to Sandra Gutierrez and Daen Valencia for their support. We appreciate all your critical thinking, collaboration, and hard work creating a memorable, uplifting rally for our students to experience.

Gratitude: Thank you to Gaby Jimenez and Amelia Marino for their collaborative hard work these past five weeks as our school secretary, Blanca Cuevas, has been on jury duty. Thank you for stepping up to ensure that all the work is completed so that our school continues to thrive.

Gratitude: Thank you to Blanca Cuevas for all her work during her five-week jury duty. On many occasions, Blanca has come on campus after jury duty, on weekends, before school starts, to ensure that Schurr continues to run smoothly. We are endlessly grateful to you.

Gratitude: Thank you to Jorge Garcia for coordinating with Disney Concert Hall to take Schurr's choir to sing in the hall with choirs from all over Southern California. What an amazing experience! Thank you for your supportive, uplifting Spartan spirit.

Attendance Rate: Our latest attendance rate was 95.06%. Yay!!! Please continue to go out of your way to show your students your supportive, uplifting spirit. Let's work hard to keep our attendance rate above 95%, our school safe, and our spirit positive. Please greet students with your uplifting Spartan Spirit and engaging 4Cs learning environments. Remind them that they are loved at Schurr.

Graduation Letter: We sent out the following 2025 Graduation Letter to all our students and parents via email. Please ask your Seniors to read the graduation letter and abide by the expectations set by our community to support a successful, uplifting ceremony. Thank you for your support.

Mental Health Awareness Month: May is National Mental Health Awareness Month. National Mental Health Month emphasizes the importance of mental health awareness, de-stigmatization and supporting our school communities. It is a time to educate communities about mental health issues while advocating for accessible resources to ensure the wellbeing of all students and staff who are facing mental health challenges. Phone Confiscation: Please inform students that we are confiscating phones from students if they are tardy and/or truant during instructional time using their phones. Thank you for your support.

Tardy/Truancy Sweeps: Please remind students that we conduct random tardy and truancy sweeps. Please remind them that we take our "cell phone" boxes to our tardy/truancy sweeps. Thank you.
