June-August Edition (Summer Newsletter)
🌞🌈🌷
As another school year concludes and summer begins, we know that summer can be a challenging and difficult time. Starting new summer routines, having the kids home 24/7, and juggling busy schedules. We want to provide you with as many resources and tools in your toolkit as possible to be able to not only build a routine that works best for you and your kiddos, but allows you to take care of yourselves too.
The summer edition of this newsletter will stay in effect from June 1-early September. Our monthly updates will then begin again the second week back to school. Our social work team is on summer break as well, so please use any of the resources below and email with any questions you may have leading up to the 2026-27 school year. Please know response times will be delayed due to our staff being out of office, but we will get back to you during any scheduled office time we have.
Have a safe, relaxing, and healthy summer break. We look forward to seeing your kids back in September!

With support from a bipartisan federal appropriation and Brown County United Way funding, Family & Childcare Resources of Northeast Wisconsin and BCUW are offering family- and group-based scholarships:
- Families residing in Brown County will initially be covered for 12 weeks (perfect for summer!), subject to review and funding availability.
- Household gross income must be below the 350% of the current Federal Poverty Level.
- Families that qualify for and/or receive Wisconsin Shares are not eligible.
- Families must reside in Brown County.
- Upon completing a brief application (see the QR code on the flyer), applicants will receive a phone call from staff at FCRNEW.
- If they qualify and are approved, based on household income and size, 50%-75% of the cost of a family's childcare will be paid weekly, directly to their childcare provider.
Attached are English and Spanish versions of a flyer promoting this opportunity and a QR code to a brief survey for families interested in applying for childcare scholarships. Click the button below for the flyer information!
