Bonham Purple Warrior Athletics

We have a lot of excitement following our boys basketball team. After finishing last season with a total of five wins, Coach Ross has lead our boys currently to a 13-4 record. They won the S&S "For the Love of the Game" Tournament and earned a spot in the championship game at our own HWY 82 Basketball Tournament. Our own tournament championship is yet to be determined. Both Bonham and Bells earned a spot in the championship game after winning each Pool. With both teams being in the same district, the coaches have decided to wait until our district matchup to determine who will take home the championship hardware.

Both JV teams are also playing hard and improving each week. Our JV1 hold a record of 3-5 and our JV2 is 0-5-1.

Our LH Rather Basketball teams are finding some success early in the season.

Coach Wilson and our Purple Warrior Soccer team have begun after school practices in preparation for the upcoming season. We had 35 players come out for tryouts. We kept 30 players for our two teams. Our first scheduled game is 1/8.

What does your spouse do for a living? Wife Hatty is the Head Volleyball coach at Pottsboro High School.

What are your hobbies? Family, music, and golf

What would you be doing if you were not a teacher and coach? Own/Manage a full time lawn care/landscaping business.

What do you enjoy about Bonham ISD? I enjoy the camaraderie within our staff and the daily opportunity BISD provides for me to influence young lives.
