The Clarkstown Connection
2025-26 Proposed Budget Edition

A Message From the Superintendent
Dear Clarkstown Central School District Families and Staff,
On Tuesday, May 20, our community will be asked to participate in the annual School Budget Vote and Board Election. CCSD's 2025-26 Proposed Budget responsibly balances the educational needs of our students with the financial realities of our taxpayers. If approved, the 2025-26 Proposed Budget (Proposition 1) in the amount of $265,386,114 would result in a 2.45% tax levy increase — staying within the state-mandated limit.
In creating the 2025-26 Proposed Budget, all curriculum and supports that are important to providing a high-quality education were considered. The Board of Education (BOE) and administration spent several months working together to develop a fiscally-responsible plan that:
Maintains current staffing;
Protects and grows student opportunities by preserving all current academic, arts and athletic programs while expanding offerings to meet their evolving interests and future career pathways; and,
Invests in our schools’ future by funding critical capital upgrades at Link Elementary School, Clarkstown High School North and Clarkstown High School South to ensure safe, modern and inspiring learning environments.
The Clarkstown Central School District is committed to enhancing our program offerings for all learners — supporting and expanding access to educational opportunities that will prepare them to become future ready.
In addition to the 2025-26 Proposed Budget, voters will be asked to elect two members to the BOE. If elected, each member would serve a three-year term effective July 1, 2025 and concluding on June 30, 2028. We thank you in advance for considering a budget that enhances educational excellence, protects property values and builds a stronger, more vibrant community for all residents. Your continued involvement in, and support of, a CCSD education is greatly appreciated. See you at the polls on Tuesday, May 20!
Sincerely,
Marc P. Baiocco, Ed.D.
