LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Santa Rita Families,
Dear Santa Rita Families,
Thank you to our Santa Rita Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for hosting our annual Grandfriends’ Day. I enjoyed seeing so many wonderful, special people on our campus today. This month, I’ll be focusing on quality sleep habits for children. Last week, I shared how much sleep children need. This week, you may want to look at what time your child is going to bed each night to ensure they are getting the quality sleep they need.
I have recently been sending out text message reminders. If you have not received those text messages, please text the word Yes to 67587. This is the best way to ensure you receive final messages about our school.
Another great way to stay informed is our Santa Rita Website. Please bookmark this site on your phone. This is also an excellent website for more information about our school.
Let’s go, Bobcats!

Character Strong
This month, we are talking about R-E-S-P-E-C-T! Respect means seeing the good in people and things & treating them with care. Seeing good in others can mean that you look for things you like or appreciate in people - whether they are similar or different from you. Treating others with care can mean listening quietly when others are speaking and responding with Kindness. It can also mean helping out when you see a need or standing up for others.
Birthday Celebrations 🎉
Please do not send food for your child’s birthday. We know cupcakes and other things can be fun, but food is unsafe for all children. Due to many allergies, food-related illnesses, and family food restrictions, we ask that you please talk with your child's teacher about how best to honor your child's birthday. We want to ensure a safe and respectful community for all our students to enjoy these celebrations. Thank you for your support and understanding.

If you plan to take your child out of school, please request an independent study program. Each student may utilize a maximum of 15 ISP days per school year Please notify office the dates of absence as soon as possible All Independent Study Plans are subject to principal approval Work MUST be completed during the absence and returned to school Parent to initiate the ISP. In this talk, Orenstein combines her research with voices of both boys and girls (as well as those between or beyond genders), to discuss the impact on high school and college students’ sexual scripts of mainstream media, social media and porn; hookup culture; changing expectations around consent; the politics of sexual pleasure; the diversity of sexual orientations; gendered power dynamics. Hablemos de Sexo: Cómo una Nueva Generación Navega por las Relaciones Sexuales, la Pornografía, el Amor y el Consentimiento
Martes, 17 de septiembre de 2024
7pm
Escuela Preparatoria Los Altos - Teatro Eagle
Audiencia: Padres, tutores, maestros y consejeros de jóvenes en edad escolar secundaria y preparatoria.. Los estudiantes mayores de 16 años pueden asistir con sus padres o tutores.
Registro: Regístrate para este evento gratuito
Libros: Girls & Sex and Boys & Sex
