Hola Tigres!
Dear Families,
I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful three-day weekend! Happy Veterans Day, and a heartfelt thank you to all who have served. As we reach the one-third mark of the school year, I want to remind you that we will begin a new trimester this Tuesday. Please note that there will be no school on Monday. On Tuesday, we will have an early dismissal: K-3rd grades will dismiss at 1:15 PM, and 4th-6th grades will dismiss at 1:25 PM.
Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to seeing everyone back on Tuesday!
Book Fair
The BOOK FAIR will be arriving at our school this coming week and will run from Tuesday Nov 12 2:30pm through November 15th. Our Book Fair gives you the opportunity to buy carefully selected, quality books and products at affordable prices. Most importantly it excites our students about reading! The book fair flyer previews some of the bestsellers that are offered at the Fair. It will be given out to students this week. Thank you for your support of our book fairs over the last few years, we have added thousands of dollars worth of books to our classrooms and library. We have also purchased furniture for our library. I would encourage all of you to come with your children at some point if possible. Things always seem to run smoother when parents are involved in the selection of books to purchase.
Please remember, we are required to charge sales tax (8.75%) on the products that are purchased at the book fair. This is not an easy concept for students to understand, and it is helpful to have as many parents as possible attend with their children in order to help with this idea.
Volunteers are welcome and needed for help at the book fair. Please feel free to call or email if you are available. Help is needed after school each day of the fair, from 2:30-3:30 pm. You may also sign up to volunteer via the parent square app.
Please remember you must check in with the office and be a cleared volunteer.
This year we are offering Book Fair E-Wallet as a digital payment option for families. You can log into our book fair website and add funds to a student account and your student can shop at the book fair without having to carry cash. Our Book Fair homepage is https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/georgiabrown
Thank you for your support. We are looking forward to an exciting and successful week!
If you have any questions, feel free to call or email.
Thank you,
Mrs. Cagliero
