From everyone at Chaparral we wish you a relaxing Thanksgiving break.
Thank You Voters!
Once again, I want to say thank you to the voters of Douglas County for saying yes to 5A (our Bond initiative). Our school leaders, staff and students are so excited to have much-needed upgrades coming to their buildings. I hope you’ll take a few moments to watch these thank you videos from our schools (even Batman sent over a video with his message of gratitude). :)
Have a fantastic weekend!

Vet 101 Applications Now Open
Do you have an aspiring veterinarian or animal enthusiast in your family? Join us on January 20 from 1-5:00 PM for Vet 101!
Vet 101 is an educational program designed to provide high school students interested in the veterinary industry with the opportunity to spend a day with vets doing real, hands-on work. Students are placed in groups of 10-12 and rotate through four vet stations: small animal & feeding, large animal, equine & rodeo, and embryology medicine.
Each student is given a bag full of donated tools and supplies including a stethoscope, animal first-aid kit, certificate of completion, and more. Every vet encourages students to get hands-on within the rotations – checking heartbeats & soundness, listening to rumens, handling animals, and asking questions.
