Back to School Edition
Dear Millbridge Families,
It is with great pleasure that I write this letter to welcome you and your children to a new school year. As I embark on my new position at Millbridge I welcome the home to school connection and building positive relationships. Serving as the Assistant Principal the last four years has prepared me to create a successful and healthy academic, social, and emotional environment.
I am hopeful that your family has had some moments of togetherness, rest and relaxation over the past few months. As I write to you and envision our new year, I wanted to begin by thanking you for your support this summer while Millbridge was under construction. So, this year as we begin again together and before I share all of the “Back to School” information with you, I want to kindly encourage you to do a few things, perhaps a quick summer homework assignment. As your days will soon become busy and filled with a flurry of excitement and many School to Do lists, try to take some time to slow down, even for a few moments and take stock in what matters most. Remember how lucky you are to have such wonderful children and know that together we will support each other this school year.
As we embark on this year together, I am yet again honored to have the privilege of working alongside you and your children. We remain committed to ensuring that Millbridge Elementary School provides a learning environment with rich experiences that enhance the intellectual, social, emotional and physical development of each and every child. We will work diligently to ensure that the children enjoy many academic successes while also instilling in them a sense of motivation and purpose at our school and in the community.
I firmly believe that schools of excellence emerge as a result of the collaborative efforts of staff, students, parents and community. Perhaps one of the most important resources, and the source of most of our success here at Millbridge is our dedicated and talented staff of professionals.
Here's to a fantastic 2024-2025 school year!
Best,
Stacy Murphy
Principal

Back to School Night

Please note that our Back to School Night will only be on one night this year. On September 11th Millbridge will open our doors to our parents/families. Please see the schedule below. If you have multiple children, please feel free to visit the gym where tables will be set up for you to browse. Our special area teachers along with PTO, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, our instructional coaches and DEA will be available. If you have received a letter that your child was entered into a Basic Skills program for this year, please attend that presentation at 5:15 in our cafeteria.
Back to School Night Schedule
PreK, Kindergarten, and Basic Skills 5:15-6:00
1st Grade - 6:15-7:00
2nd Grade - 7:15-8:00
Please note that parking is available at Resurrection Church and the High School. It is important to be on time as we will dismiss promptly at the end of each session for the next group to enter.
Parent Portal
Please log into parent portal and sign all required documents. This will allow your child to have access to a chromebook during the school day, attend field trips, free & reduced lunch forms, etc.
Arrival & Dismissal
Buses
10-minute buffer
Expect the first two weeks to be slightly longer…do NOT panic
Parent Pick Up
Early Dismissal - any pickup before 3:00 through office, email MBOffice@delranschools.org and your child's teacher.
Fast Passes can be used from prior year for the first 3 weeks of school.
Buses - dismissal begins at 3:20
If you are dropping your child off, please enter the parking lot closest to the cafeteria. This is the carpool line. Staff will direct you around and assist your child out of the car. It is extremely helpful to have your child in the back on the passenger side for exit. A staff member will open the car door when it is safe for exit. There will be staff members to assist in crossing and navigating the hallways to help find classrooms. Make sure your child has their colored band; this is extremely important and helpful.
