THS Blue Devil Times

Greetings THS students, families, and community members,

This week is homecoming! Below you'll find information about the plans for the week. Again, this week is as great as we make it. So, urge your students to participate in dress up days, to sign up for the events, and to attend athletic events this week.

Homecoming is not just for students. We welcome all community members whether you have students at THS or not! Come out and support our student athletes and don't forget to attend men's volleyball and powderpuff this week. Let's make it a homecoming to remember!

Cora Rodibaugh and the student council have been working hard to plan a dynamite homecoming for the Fall sports season. Check out the photos for dress up days and nightly activities.

We will end the week with a pep session!

Encourage your student to get involved and participate!

  Tickets will be available starting September 20th for $5. Dress to impress and come celebrate a fantastic week with your friends!

On October 2, all 9th-11th grade students will take the PSAT. This test helps us gain a better understanding of our students' current knowledge and skills. The data gathered from the PSAT is essential in preparing our students for the SAT, which they are required to take as juniors according to the Indiana Department of Education guidelines.

Seniors will need to select one of three options for morning while we test:

1. Go on a college visit on their own (must provide documentation)

2. Go on an IUK field trip.

3. Sign up for school-organized community service.

The senior class collects recycling during the school year, and the Tipton County Solid Waste Management pays us $5,000 for our efforts. Pictured: Senior Class Sponsors Phil Morgan and Carrie Capshaw accept the check from Angie Heron.

Discount cards available to support the THS After Prom!

This is the main fundraiser that the junior class uses to fund the After Prom. So many local businesses to get deals, that the card pays for itself in no time! The following locations have the cards available to purchase.

Every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the school year, THS offers time from 3:10-4:15 to get additional help from our outstanding teaching staff.

There is no need to register, students can simply show up in the high school library after school and get to work! There are always two teachers supervising this time, and they can help with homework, organization, and many other struggles a high school student experiences.

This is a great, quiet time for students to stay on top of their academics.

We are looking for more ways to live the phrase, "Once a Blue Devil, Always a Blue Devil".

One way we would like to do that is by recognizing the amazing Alumni that have graduated from THS. Below is a Google Form that any one can fill out to nominate a THS graduate for recognition. The information from the form will be used to create an alumni post on our social media accounts.
