1/10/2025
Dear Franklin Academy Families,
We had a great first week back from Winter Break! In this week’s newsletter, we are excited to introduce our new Parent Referral Program. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to earn service hours when you refer new families to our school and they enroll at Franklin Academy. We encourage you to take advantage of this program and help our community grow! Please see below for more information.
Additionally, we are participating in National School Choice Week, and we need your help to make it a success! Please take a moment to read the flyer below for more details on how you can get involved and show your support.
Our students who had less than 4 infractions during Quarter 2 celebrated at our Quarterly Dance Party this week. It was so much fun celebrating their achievements and dedication to their education!
As always, we appreciate you taking the time to look through our weekly newsletters. They are sent to keep you informed and engaged with everything happening at Franklin Academy.
Thank you for your continued involvement and support. Have a wonderful weekend!
Warm regards,
Mrs. L'Etoile
Parent Referral Program
We are excited to announce that Franklin Academy is now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 academic year, with the goal of achieving full enrollment at each grade level. To support this effort, we are launching a Parent Referral Program and encourage all of our current families to help spread the word and refer new families to our school.
By participating, families can earn service hours for each referred family that attends a campus tour. Additionally, new families will be entered into a drawing for a free Franklin uniform set upon enrollment.
Here’s how you can get involved:
- Pick up referral postcards at the front office or access digital copies on our website and in our weekly newsletter.
- Share the postcards in person, via social media, text, or email.
- Encourage referred families to attend a campus tour with completed materials.
Franklin Academy is known for its high academic standards, consistently exceeding district and state performance benchmarks. With our dedicated teachers, small class sizes, and unique IB World School designation, we ensure that your child receives the best possible education.
Thank you for being an integral part of our community and for helping us grow and strengthen the Franklin family!
Please fill out the form by clicking the tab above to share a shout-out for a Franklin Staff Member! Your feedback is crucial in helping us recognize the hard work and dedication of our staff. By sharing your positive experiences, you not only motivate our team but also contribute to creating a more positive and nurturing learning environment for all our students. Thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child's education!

Middle School Students
AP Corner
At Franklin, we are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for both academic learning and social-emotional growth. You may have heard from your scholar about some of the exciting initiatives we’ve implemented this school year.
Advisory Class Updates: During Advisory, students are diving deep into skill-building on IXL, which helps close academic gaps or allows them to excel in areas of strength. In addition to this, they are participating in engaging lessons that focus on team-building, getting-to-know-you activities, and character development. Each month, we highlight a different core value, culminating in a school-wide assembly where students share their work related to that value.
Core Values and Bolt Bucks Program: We continue to have our popular “Bolt Bucks” program, a school-wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) initiative aimed at celebrating students who demonstrate our Core Values. On Fridays, students can visit the “Bolt Cart,” where they can spend their earned Bolt Bucks on fun items like journals, novelty erasers, pop-its, hacky sacks, bouncy balls, scented pens, water bottles, ice cream passes, and more. This is a great way for students to stay motivated as they work towards earning rewards.
Franklin’s Core Values: Our monthly Advisory focus is on the following Core Values:
K – KINDNESS (Caring)
I – INTEGRITY (Honesty & Principled)
T – TENACITY (Determination)
E – ENTHUSIASM
S – SAFETY
Behavior Expectations and Progressive Discipline: To maintain a positive learning environment, we continue to uphold our behavior and dress code expectations. Students will be held accountable for any infractions through our updated progressive discipline protocol. If your child receives an infraction, you will be notified via email. As students accumulate infractions, they may earn morning detentions (for middle school only) or face out-of-school suspensions. Please note, if a middle school student misses a morning detention, they will need to make it up the following week.
We believe in encouraging self-control and discipline, and we hope all students will model our Core Values and demonstrate respect for the rules and expectations.
Quarterly Celebrations: To recognize positive behavior, we celebrate students who have not accumulated more than three infractions and have not been suspended. This week, we celebrated our Quarter 2 Behavior Celebration with a “Glow” Dance Party in the gym. Looking ahead, we are excited about the Q3 celebration and the Q4 Carnival. Additionally, students with zero infractions will receive a “Sweet Treat Pass” to use during lunch, celebrating their commitment to our Core Values.
Ongoing Support and Communication: We greatly appreciate your continued support as we implement both positive rewards and a progressive discipline approach at Franklin. Please continue to talk to your child about their behavior and experiences here—celebrating their successes while also helping them learn from any challenges.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the administration. We are here to support you and your scholar!

IB Five Year Evaluation- Parent Questionnaire
Franklin Academy is in the evaluation phase for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program.
In order to maintain our status as an IB World School, we are required to complete a “self-study” every five years. One of the requirements of the IB Review is to involve all stakeholders (parents, students, teachers, administrators) in reflecting on the practices and standards of our IB diploma programme.
We encourage parents to be a part of the self-study process. Please complete the IB questionnaire using the link below. We look forward to your feedback.
