October Recap
Buckley
Second grade students had a blast harvesting radishes as the last of the garden bounty!
Courtade
October was filled with pumpkin festivities including harvesting pumpkins from the pumpkin patch and pumpkin seed saving. Stay tuned for our pumpkin recipe taste test in November!
October's taste test was a dill potato salad with dill and potatoes harvested right from the school garden.
Creekside
Northport
This month at Northport, we harvested the last of the vegetables including cucumbers, tomatoes, and butternut squash! We harvested thyme, sage, and rosemary to make herb bundles to dry out and send home with families for holiday cooking. Students planted garlic to over-winter in the garden.
Suttons Bay
In October we supported the annual Norse Dash at Suttons Bay by preparing a healthy trail mix for students to enjoy after completing their walk-a-thon! It was great to see students being physically active and to teach them about fueling their bodies well after exercise.
