Important Information for our Armin Jahr families

Our school community will be in a temporary new location starting in the fall!

As you may have heard, starting in the fall, we will be learning at an interim campus adjacent to the East Bremerton Community Gym during the construction of our NEW school!


Below is some important information about our interim campus. If you have not received a copy of this information sheet, please call or stop by the office and we'll be happy to get you one! You can also download it (in English or Spanish) from the website at www.BremertonSchools.org/AJ.

Initial design schematic designs were presented at the April 17 school board meeting!

Our new school will feature:


  • Modern two-story design with flexible learning environments to meet the diverse educational needs of every student
  • Welcoming, inclusive spaces designed to support engagement with Spanish-speaking families and the broader school community
  • Outdoor learning courtyards that encourage hands-on exploration and connection with nature
  • Spacious library offering a quiet, inspiring space filled with natural light
  • Environmental repairs and wetland restoration to enhance the natural setting and support outdoor education
  • Improved traffic flow and safety with separate areas for parent drop-off and bus loading


Construction on our new school begins in fall 2025 with an estimated completion date of December 2026!

All families are invited to Family Information Night on Tuesday, May 20 from 5:30 - 7 p.m. We will be sharing more information about our interim campus and answering your questions! More information forthcoming!

Save the date: Wednesday, June 4 is our "Farewell to Armin Jahr" open house

All current families, alumni and community members are invited to our "Farewell to Armin Jahr" open house on June 4. We hope you will join us to celebrate new beginnings, and take a walk down memory lane before the building is demolished this summer. Stay tuned for more details!
