COMMUNITY LION'S ROAR
January 2025
Dear Lion Community,
I want to take a moment to address the importance of safety and security within our schools and community. Like many of you, we have been closely following the news and staying informed on issues that may be of concern for our staff, students, families, community, and our loved ones.
The well-being of our students and the safety of our community remain our top priorities. We are committed to maintaining a secure and supportive learning environment for everyone. To that end, we continuously review and enhance our safety protocols to ensure we are prepared to address any challenges that may arise.
The New Jersey Department of Education has provided resources and guidance to address some recent community concerns. I encourage you to explore the information they have shared, which can be accessed at the following link: https://nj.gov/education/security/studentrights/index.shtml.
We value open communication and encourage you to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have. For example, we are aware of social media commentary. What I can assure you is that NO IMMIGRATION & CUSTOM OFFICERS were present on Lindenwold school property yesterday or last week. Any time you need clarity on a specific issue, please reach out to your building principals or me directly.
Please know we have staff available for any student who ever feels afraid regarding any situation or for any student who is concerned about anything. Your child is welcome to speak with our administration, our staff, and our counselors. Your input is vital in ensuring the safety and success of our students and community.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Together, we can ensure that our schools remain a safe and nurturing environment where every student can thrive.
Sincerely,
Dr. Kristin P. O'Neil
Lindenwold Superintendent
