Henderson County High School Students Participate in Kentucky Farm to School Junior Chef Competition
August 21, 2018
The Colonels Cookin’ Crazies Junior Chef Team will head to Louisville for competition on Wednesday, August 22nd at the State Fair. The Kentucky Farm to School Junior Chef competition is a statewide high school cooking competition designed to offer youth the opportunity to learn valuable skills in recipe development, food preparation, marketing, public presentation, organization, teamwork and community involvement.
The team’s dish for competition will be a Rise ‘n’ Shine breakfast pizza. The pizza utilizes the following Kentucky Proud Farm ingredients: ham, potato, tomato, bell pepper, onion, spinach, egg, and parsley. Points are given for Kentucky Proud ingredients used in the recipe.
