Looking for Extracurricular Activities?
Students at MCVSD Tinton Falls have the opportunity to join HOSA or SkillsUSA. Both HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) and SkillsUSA are excellent extracurricular organizations that offer unique opportunities for students.
HOSA is geared towards students interested in pursuing careers in the healthcare industry. It provides a platform for students to develop leadership skills, participate in community service, and engage in competitive events related to healthcare professions. Members have the chance to attend conferences, workshops, and competitions that enhance their knowledge of healthcare practices and foster teamwork. Advisors: Mrs. Antoniello and Mrs. Shalom
SkillsUSA is a national organization that focuses on preparing students for careers in trade, technical, and skilled service occupations. It aims to develop leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. SkillsUSA offers a range of competitions at local, state, and national levels, allowing students to showcase their skills in areas such as automotive technology, culinary arts, welding, and more. Work Based Learning Starts Now!
All Level II Applied Mechanical Engineering, HVAC/R, and Plumbing and Pipefitting students qualify for this opportunity.
Mr. Muly, Mr. Eugenio, and Mr. Portaleos have been visiting all shared time buildings to discuss opportunities for work based learning (WBL). In WBL students have the opportunity to work in their designated trade up to 4 days a week. An added benefit is that this is a PAID experience! The WBL program offers invaluable hands-on experience for students, especially when they can earn while they learn.
