WEEK 26
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW FOR THIS WEEK
Chelsea and Saline have their trimester exams on Thursday, March 7th and Friday, March 8th.
- These are half days for Saline and Chelsea has an altered schedule so we will NOT be running any SWWC programs. To clarify, all SWWC students should remain at their home schools on Thursday and Friday. This included Building Trades.
- Due to Cosmetology's required hours, students are expected to attend that program unless their school exam schedule conflicts. (Updated on 3/4/24 @ 6:45 p.m.)
Looking ahead...
- Dexter does not have school on Friday, March 15th
- Manchester has an Early Release on Friday, March 15th (Students will attend their SWWC class)
Congratulations to Adyson Naebeck!
Saline Superintendent Steve Laatsch, SWWC Special Populations/Work Based Learning Instructor Mary Visel, and Agriscience Teacher David Mellor attended a VIP reception and on-stage ceremony at Michigan State University to honor Saline/SWWC senior Adyson Naebeck as a Top 3 Finalist for the title of FFA Star Farmer of Michigan.
Building Trades Competition!
SWWC students Gunnar Kruise (Milan) and Ethan Nava-Salazar (Saline) competed at the 2West Regionals Carpentry Competition February 26th. Nice work!
Freezin' for a Reason!
Our very own Automotive Technology teacher, Mr. Timoszyk, participated in the Polar Plunge at Saline High School last Wednesday. This event raised an amazing $27,500 and highlights the shared commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all students.
Has your student's medical or contact information changed since the beginning of the school year?
As we approach field trip and competition season, we are requesting that you complete the General Permissions Form again ONLY if your student's medical, contact information, etc. has changed since the first time you completed the form.
Stay tuned for some upcoming information about CTE specific scholarships.
