Happy Sunday afternoon!

We had such a busy week! We continued to celebrate Attendance Awareness Month with Spirit Days, had our first Parent as Learners Event where we studied Math Story or Word problems, and then finished our week with a Color Run on our Fun Friday! We love making school exciting and engaging so that our Sharks are challenged for high growth and success.

I know the district has sent out parent emails, but I wanted to also add to our school newsletter the response protocols for everyday communication. The blue Secure photo is what we do daily. We are always secure in every classroom with all doors locked and secure at all times with our teachers, administration, and full-time SRO. If you have any questions regarding our safety, please reach out to Mr. Gilstrap or myself. Our number one goal is that all staff and sharks are safe at all times. Have a wonderful Sunday and we can't wait to see you guys this week for a full week! We will continue with Spirit days below for the last full week of September.

Parents as Learners-Story Problem Strategies

Congratulations to our very own, Shark Tank Teacher, Ms. Clark! She has earned the 24-25 Outstanding PLTW Teacher Award! Out of 103 teachers in the Nation, we know it is because of her creative ways to continue to implement our science standards and PLTW! Way to go Ms. Clark!

FoodShare

FoodShare is an affordable, fresh produce box program in our area. FoodShare boxes come with 10-12 varieties of fresh fruits and vegetables, including items from local farmers in the Upstate and recipe cards for inspiration! The produce boxes are $20 for customers paying with credit/debit and only $5 for customers paying with SNAP/EBT. Customers order their food box online, and can select sites in Dacusville, Easley, Liberty, or Clemson to pick up their box twice per month.
