Our Vision
To be a welcoming, inspiring, empowering learning community where ALL thrive.
A Note From Pang
Welcome to March!
We will be focusing on being responsible all month as part of being a Blue Jay as well as celebrating Women's History Month!
Being responsible means that we take it S.L.O.W. during transitions and apologize for our mistakes!
S - Stop what we're doing
L - Listen to adult directions
O - Organize our materials
W - Wait patiently for the rest of the class
When we apologize for our mistakes we know that... "It's not too late to apologize."
Saying sorry is the first step to making it right.

Volunteers Needed: Culver’s Dine-Out Fundraiser
We need volunteers for our Culver's Dine Out night on March 18th, 2024 from 5 PM to 8 PM. Culver's requires we have a minimum of 5 adult volunteers per shift, arriving at the restaurant 15 minutes prior to the start of your shift (each one hour, starting at 5 PM).
Volunteers will be: Cleaning tables and chairs in the dining room, running orders to guests in the dining room and drive-thru, and be greeters who welcome/thank/inform guests about the Share Night.
Under 14 year olds do not count as volunteers, but are welcome to shadow parents. Spread the word and invite extended adult family members and friends to help us reach our fundraising goal.

CAFETERIA CONNECTION - MARCH 2024
Did you know children who eat breakfast are more likely to…
Reach higher levels of achievement in reading and math
Score higher on standardized tests
Have better concentration and memory
Be more alert and maintain a healthy weight
But when the school week gets busy, it’s easy for students to rush out the door in the morning without having a nutritious meal. That’s why school breakfast is such a great option! In fact, students who participate in school breakfast tend to have better attendance rates and fewer behavioral problems.
In celebration of National School Breakfast Week, March 4-8, we are offering free breakfast to all students on Thursday, March 7! All week we will have special guest servers, mascots, special menus, and fun giveaways. Join us for the fun!

Before School Procedures
When students arrive between 7:30 and 7:40, they should walk to the back of the school and enter the school building at the back of the school by the cafeteria.
Kindergarteners, 1st graders and 4th graders will enter through door 6
2nd graders, 3rd graders and 5th graders will enter through door 7.
Students may purchase a breakfast in the cafeteria when they enter school and will bring their breakfast to the classroom to eat.
After School Dismissal Procedures
Students will exit the school in the back of the school by the cafeteria. If you are meeting your student and walking home, designate a meeting location outside the back of the school.
If you are picking up in a vehicle, students will walk along the side of the school looking for your vehicle and will wait on the sidewalk until you are able to pull forward to them. Pull as far forward as possible.
Students should not enter or exit a vehicle before the crosswalk. There are posted signs to let you know when it is ok for students to enter the vehicle. Once you are past the sign, pull as far forward as possible and pick up your student.
Attendance Information
If your child will be late, sick or just out for the day, please be sure to call the attendance line by 8:00 am. The bell rings and attendance is taken at 7:55am.

New Electronic Safety Tip Line
The safety and security of our students and staff is a top priority for the district. We have been teaching our students to say something to a trusted adult when they see something unsafe. Sometimes, though, there are barriers to reporting safety issues in person. Tip lines are one common approach that schools use to promote school and student safety and well-being. Tip lines are designed to provide students or other members of the public with a safe and confidential way to report a threat to a student or school safety.
To that end, we have created an Electronic Safety Tip Line available on the district website. The e-Tip Line allows students, parents, or community members to report weapons, threats of violence, bullying, sexual harassment, threat of suicide, drugs, and any other activity that could potentially endanger students, staff, and property.
We are developing a communication plan to roll this out to students in upper elementary, middle school, and high school. The e-Tip Line is available on the district website from the “Families” menu and “Quicklinks” and can also be found on the district bullying and safety webpages. If a student wishes to file a bullying report, that Fillable Bullying Report Form is also available on the website.
