💚🐼LEAP Connect and ELPT are finishing up this week. Thank you all for ensuring we have had a secure and quiet testing environment for our special populations! Now we are on the countdown to LEAP and EOY Diebels testing. Please continue to practice the words posted in the hallway and incorporate phonemic awareness in other areas of your class. This is an overall weakness in all of our grades across the board. Use LEAP-like questions in your lessons. This year is quickly coming to an end, let's show everyone what Pittman is made of and finish strong! 💚🐼

Ms. Guidry for assisting with Ms. Lawrence's class to ensure all second grade benchmarks were administered. Ms. Dixon has been covering an additional morning duty for the past two weeks, as well as continuing to cover her late duty. Thank you for ensuring our students are safe during this time. 3rd Nine Weeks Grades Due: Monday, March 18 3:00 PM

Don't forget to use the conversion chart of the Pupil Progression Plan (begins on pg. 53) when inputting Benchmark grades into JCampus. Refer to the Pittman handbook (pg. 10) in regard to comments. ELA teachers should use the MOY Dibels composite score in regard to the students' reading level comments.

Please make sure you are following the Pupil Progression in regard to the required amount of grades for the nine weeks. We do not want to overload the students with assessments. Please check with your grade level team; our students should not have more than two assessments on the same day.

Also, note the information about grade recovery (pg. 41) in the Pupil Progression Plan.

REMINDER: Social Studies BM3 cannot be used as a major assessment.

All visitors will be prompted to state who they are and the reason for their visit to the school. Please inform parents on DOJO that in-person conferences with staff members and administration must be scheduled. The office staff has been instructed not to allow anyone to wait for a meeting.

We can not have conferences during arrival and dismissal time.

Please reflect on the number of absences that you have taken this year. Teachers work 10 months and get 10 sick days. A good rule of thumb is your total should be about one day per month you have worked. Therefore, if you have more than 4 absences, you are on track to be over your days. Please adjust before that happens.

Make sure when dropping off your students in the cafeteria you are not leaving students unattended. Safety and monitoring is always our first priority. If a monitor is not yet present, please stay with your class until we can get coverage. Thank you for your flexibility.

D and F Recovery: This is a reminder regarding the PPP requirements for students scoring a

D or an F on a summative assessment, excluding JPS Benchmark Assessments, The student

must be provided an opportunity for grade recovery following reteaching within the same

nine weeks.
