Principals' Corner
Parents and Students,
We are rolling right along and it is hard to believe that we have already been in school for a month. Fall sports are in full swing and other activities have kicked up. I want to continue to encourage students to "do what you are supposed to do" and "be where you are supposed to be." If those two things happen, success usually follows.
I am thankful for the opportunity to lead this school.
Have a great week and Go Jackets!
Report to Homeroom 9/9
We are doing an attendance count tomorrow. We need all students to report to Homeroom and to be on time!
Thank You!
CERT Diagnostic Test
Parents and students,
Our underclassmen took one of these tests last week and will take another this Wednesday. This test will identify your students strengths and weaknesses primarily as it relates to the ACT test that they take as a Junior. It will build a learning path for students to help them be more successful. Please encourage your students to do their best!

***WE NEED YOUR HELP***
Parents and Students,
We continue to need everyone's help with arrival and dismissal procedures. Students should be dropped off in the carpool lane only. The bus lane has been much improved but we still need to make sure that the front lot is not being used for drop off and pick up.
Please help keep everyone safe by following our school rules and procedures.
Dress Code
Parents and students,
We are STILL having some issues with the dress code. We need everyone to read the guidelines and adhere to those. Below you will find a link to the Student Handbook. Dress Code guidelines are on page 34. Please note that if a student is out of dress code, they will not be allowed to attend class until proper clothing is secured.
School Arrival
Please note that the school day officially starts at 7:55 and all students should be in class at that time. Any student who arrives to class between 7:55-8:05 is considered tardy.
Any student who arrives after 8:05 must have someone check them in. A student will remain in the office until a parent, guardian or someone authorized can check them in. Student drivers are allowed 4 late unexcused check ins and on the 5th, will have their parking privileges temporarily suspended.
Student Parking
Students who have not registered for parking and paid for their decal are at risk of being towed at this point. Students should only park in their parking space

School Breakfast and Lunch for Free!
Over the summer, Jefferson County Schools became a CEP school district, which will allow all students in the district to eat Breakfast and Lunch for free. There are no forms to fill out and every student is eligible to do so. We are so excited for this change and encourage students to take advantage of this. In order for us to continue offering this, we need students to eat breakfast and lunch.
