The Heart of Haleiwa
Welcome Back To School Edition - August 9, 2024
Meet Our New Vice Principal
It is a privilege and honor to join Haleʻiwa Elementary School. With a background as a Behavioral Health Specialist, School Counselor, and Vice Principal at Solomon Elementary and Waialua High and Intermediate School, I am excited to serve this wonderful community. I believe that collective effort is crucial for supporting the success of every student. My commitment extends beyond academic achievement; I am dedicated to helping all students grow and embody the Essence of Haleʻiwa—living life to the fullest with honor, respect, kindness, and love to make the world a better place. I look forward to collaborating with students, parents, the community, faculty, and staff as we work towards this shared goal.
Important Dates and Upcoming Events
Mahalo
It has been a great first week of school. Thank you to all of our families for being so patient with our school and staff every day after school. We know that some of you have had to wait for a long time before we were able to get your child(ren) to you. Your understanding is very much appreciated!
As a friendly reminder, beginning on Monday, August 12, we respectfully ask that parents drop off their child(ren) at the front of the school. Our staff members will escort any students who need assistance to their classroom. Please understand that these measures are an important part of our safety and security plan. It has been approved by our HIDOE Safety and Security Office as an important way of limiting access to unauthorized persons to the campus.
Mahalo to Our Community Partners
Thank you to our community partners who generously donated backpacks, school supplies, and other necessities for our students. Pictured are Vice Principal Sanbei, Principal Wetzel, and Ms. Linda Seyler from North Shore News.
