Kids Reading Across RI
Announcing the 2019 KRARI Selection
The Kids Reading Across RI Committee is proud to announce that Sanity and Tallulah by Molly Brooks is this year's selection! Get ready for two clever friends, a three headed cat, space hijinks, and a bit of mystery.
From the publisher:
Sanity Jones and Tallulah Vega are best friends on Wilnick, the dilapidated space station they call home at the end of the galaxy. So naturally, when gifted scientist Sanity uses her lab skills and energy allowance to create a definitely-illegal-but-impossibly-cute three-headed kitten, she has to show Tallulah. But Princess, Sparkle, Destroyer of Worlds is a bit of a handful, and it isn’t long before the kitten escapes to wreak havoc on the space station. The girls will have to turn Wilnick upside down to find her, but not before causing the whole place to evacuate! Can they save their home before it’s too late? Readers will be over the moon for this rollicking space adventure by debut author Molly Brooks.

Book Set Distribution to Schools
In the next month you will receive information about requesting free copies of Sanity and Tallulah to use for KRARI book discussions throughout the spring. As always, these books will belong to your library and you may decide how you want to distribute them (give them to students to keep, catalog them, circulate them to classrooms, etc.). While there is no limit on how many copies you request, please thoughtfully consider the number of books you will need to run an effective book club/discussion. We will begin distributing the books in mid March.
Please note: School libraries that receive OLIS-LORI delivery will be sent their KRARI book set through this service. If your library does not receive OLIS-LORI delivery, you may be asked to pick up your KRARI book set at the public library in your school district.
