Fundraising Update & PAC Initiatives
Fundraising Update: Since the start of the school year, PAC has been diligent in our fundraising efforts and we are happy to share that we have raised $7,150 of our $25,000 goal. These funds are used to support student and staff initiatives. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
PAC Grant Requests: Have you ever wondered where your donation goes? Funds are used for staff appreciation events throughout the year as well as student clubs and other activities. In order for a new club or initiative to receive PAC funding, Staff members must submit a Grant Application to PAC and present the proposal at one of the monthly meetings. To date, PAC has provided the funding necessary for the following clubs, student activities, staff appreciation, and requests:
- Fall Staff Appreciation breakfast,
- Crayola Colors of the World colored pencils for each classroom,
- Practiced shirts for QMS Cross Country Team,
- Pinnies for 8th grade Stinger competitions,
- Second Dungeons & Dragons Club,
- Poetry Club,
- Dj for the winter dance,
- Funding of bus transportation for annual 7th grade field trip, and
- Purchase of gift cards for the Aqua Team to use as student incentives.
Thank You Fall Frolic Sponsors & Attendees!

Board Positions Available for 2025 - 2026 School Year
PAC is looking for volunteers to fill positions on the board for the 2025-2026 school year. The open positions include Vice President and Secretary. No experience is required. Board members are voted on at the May general meeting.
In order to serve on the board, you must have a student at QMS and a desire to help out. None of us are experts but we all roll up our sleeves and jump in to help our students have the best middle school experience that they can. Board members are expected to attend monthly meetings during the school year, assist with fundraising, and are responsible for how we spend the money we raise.
Joining can help the school community and add valuable experience to your resume. By joining you'll:
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and staff to support our students.
- Help organize fun events and build school spirit.
- Advocate for our school and students on important issues.
We invite those interested to attend an upcoming PAC Meeting to learn more.
Please consider stepping up—your time and effort can make a big impact!
8th Grade Banquet Planning
Each year PAC sponsors the 8th Grade Banquet, an annual end of year celebration for the 8th grade to celebrate the official end of middle school. While the 8th grade banquet doesn't take place until June, PAC has already started to pre-planning for the event. Historically this celebration has been a tropical-themed event held outdoors in the QMS courtyard with a DJ and pizza.
Last year was the first time that the event was held off of school ground and the students had an incredible time. We hope to be able to do this again for the current 8th graders; however, support for any PAC initiative is largely contingent on feasibility, funds raised, volunteer commitment, and obtaining the appropriate approvals. In order to hold the event off school grounds we will need a minimum of 35 parents/guardians to serve as chaperones.
In order to chaperone, parents/guardians must have a valid CORI (Criminal Offender Record Inquiry) on file with Mansfield Public Schools EACH YEAR. To volunteer, please stop by the Main Office to complete a CORI form. Don’t forget to bring a valid MA state issued ID with you.
If you're interested in helping with the planning, please join us at the December PAC Meeting.
UNFUNDRAISER
Help us reach out fundraising goal! Your contribution is tax deductible!
Dislike having to sell “stuff” to raise funds for an organization? Well, so do we! In lieu of tasking students and parents with selling typical fundraising items, PAC is pleased to offer a tax deductible option to take the hassle out of fundraising. Your participation is completely voluntary and very much appreciated! You can simply make a donation via Venmo, PayPal, or check!
Your donations will enable us to support our students and teachers by providing the funds for enrichment, technology, flexible seating, speaker events and so much more. Our goal is to raise $15,000 this year. This will put us in a terrific position to support all of our ongoing student activities and provide an opportunity to see what new initiatives we can help with.
_____ $25 - I don’t want to buy chocolate bars, please take this donation instead.
_____ $50 - I don’t want to sell coupon books so here’s a better alternative.
_____ $100 or $_______ Here’s a donation to show my appreciation for not having to buy, sell, or do anything else for fundraising this year.
Payments can be made via PayPal at QMS UnFundraiser Donation, Venmo @QMS-PAC, or send a check payable to "QMS PAC" to QMS PAC, 240 East Street, Mansfield, MA 02048. Remember, donations are tax deductible.
