SAMUEL V. CHAMPION HIGH SCHOOL
BACK TO SCHOOL UPDATE - July 7, 2024
CAMPUS NEWSLETTER - Nov 11
It's always a GREAT day to be a CHAMPION CHARGER!
Girls Basketball took home 2nd place in the Rouse Tip-Off Classic this weekend to start the season. Success for Speech and Debate this weekend in San Angelo. Champion debate placed 1,2,3,5 in 5A Congress - top 3 go to State! First time EVER for Champion to take all 3 state spots!
Mrs. Breuer was given the Teacher of Excellence Award from the Texas Business Hall Of Fame. Congratulations Mrs. Breuer! Well deserved!
Chargers have had the opportunity to meet this past week in grade levels with our administrators and counselors to review the importance of building character, responsibility, resilience, adaptability, and overall academic and social/emotional connections here at Champion. We had a great time with the students and will meet again as a class in the spring semester. Our goal is to make sure all students know who to go to for support and encouragement when needed. The team at Champion is dedicated to their overall success and growth and we want our students and families to grow together with our staff. We will conclude with our Senior meeting next week during the advisory period and the next monthly Senior Newsletter will be sent out later this week.
Please remember how important attendance is for all! Students, teachers and staff are integral to the success of the campus. TIME is one of our most precious things - where we place our attention with our time is where we find our priorities. We are dedicated to being present and seeking success in the everyday rigor.
Hope you all have an AMAZING week!
Natalie Benke
Interim Principal, Boerne-Samuel V. Champion High School
Thank you for your service and sacrifices for this great country!

Champion Theater's NEXT Great Performance - THIS WEEK!
CHAMPION CHOIR's "EVENING ON BROADWAY" is COMING SOON!
Great Things Happening!
Our Veterans Day Ceremony was "one to remember" this year. We enjoyed meeting and talking with many of the guest veterans. The Champion Orchestra set the tone right off the bat and the Honor Choir and Wind Ensemble could not have been better! This year our student speakers had very moving and personal speeches and the "Presentation of Colors" was flawless. We even enjoyed a surprise performance by our guest entertainment "USO Troupe" ~ great job ladies! Finally, we want to thank Chief Master Sergeant Antonio Goldstrom, USAF (Ret.) for his words, praises, love of country, and challenge to us all.
CONGRATULATIONS ART STUDENTS!
