Plano School District No. 88

Good evening parents,

The Plano School District Board of Education and building administrators are pleased to send you a copy of the “Return to Learn Plan” that was reviewed at the School Board meeting last evening. Please click here for a copy of the Plan. Committee members have been reviewing student and staff safety, health guidelines, availability of technology/devices, facility requirements and the social/emotional needs of your children in order to put forth the most responsible plan to Return to Learn in the fall of 2020.

Please review the plan and take your time making an informed decision for your student(s) for next school year. The options include the following:

• Learning Option 1: In-Person - Students will be assigned to Group A-Tuesday & Thursday or Group B-Wednesday & Friday by address.

• Learning Option 2: Virtual Academy - Students will participate fully remote without in-person instruction.

• Learning Option 3: Homeschooling - I will be providing educational experiences for my student and he/she will not be attending Plano CUSD 88 for the 2020-21 school year.

We will be sending out informational fliers about safety, facilities and the human element throughout the coming days. Please know that your decision does not have to be an immediate one. You have until Friday, July 31st to read through the material or wait to receive more information from the district. If you already know what your decision will be, you are welcome to log in now to your Parent Portal in PowerSchool and make your selection for each of your students. Click the FORMS tab on the left side of the screen and then choose 2020-21 APPLICATION FOR RETURN TO LEARN to make your selection. You will need to make a selection for each of your students and you may make a different selection for each student if you desire.

Si ya sabe cuál será su decisión, puede iniciar sesión ahora en su Portal para padres en PowerSchool y hacer su selección para cada uno de sus estudiantes. Haga clic en la pestaña FORMULARIOS en el lado izquierdo de la pantalla y luego elija 2020-21 SOLICITUD DE REGRESO PARA APRENDER para hacer su selección. Tendrá que hacer una selección para cada uno de sus estudiantes y, si lo desea, puede hacer una selección diferente para cada estudiante.
