Welcome to this week’s edition of The Washington Weekly! As we head into the final stretch of the school year, there’s lots of excitement in the air—and we need your help to keep it all running smoothly!

Field Day is coming soon, and we’re looking for volunteers! This is one of our students’ favorite days of the year, filled with fun games, friendly competition, and unforgettable memories. We need volunteers to supervise students, lead activities, and help make this event a success. If you’re available, please sign up to volunteer—we’d love to have you join the fun!

We’re also gearing up for End-of-Grade (EOG) testing, which begins soon. These assessments give students a chance to show all they’ve learned this year. Here are a few tips to help your child do their best:

• Make sure they get a good night’s sleep before testing days.

• Encourage a healthy breakfast in the morning.

• Arrive to school on time and ready to go!

• Remind them to take their time, read carefully, and use all the strategies they've practiced.

• Most importantly—encourage a positive mindset! Remind your child that they are prepared and capable.

We're getting ready to celebrate our amazing 5th graders as they prepare to "move up" from Washington Elementary! To make this milestone memorable, we’re planning a special celebrations complete with games, activities, food, and fun keepsakes.
