đPrincipal's Message
Greetings Washington Families,
Welcome to this weekâs edition of The Washington Weekly! As we head into the final stretch of the school year, thereâs lots of excitement in the airâand we need your help to keep it all running smoothly!
Field Day is coming soon, and weâre looking for volunteers! This is one of our studentsâ favorite days of the year, filled with fun games, friendly competition, and unforgettable memories. We need volunteers to supervise students, lead activities, and help make this event a success. If youâre available, please sign up to volunteerâweâd love to have you join the fun!
Weâre also gearing up for End-of-Grade (EOG) testing, which begins soon. These assessments give students a chance to show all theyâve learned this year. Here are a few tips to help your child do their best:
-
Make sure they get a good nightâs sleep before testing days.
-
Encourage a healthy breakfast in the morning.
-
Arrive to school on time and ready to go!
-
Remind them to take their time, read carefully, and use all the strategies they've practiced.
-
Most importantlyâencourage a positive mindset! Remind your child that they are prepared and capable.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership. Here's to finishing the year strongâtogether!
Letâs make it a great week at 1000 Fayetteville Street!
Magically,
Catie Burnette
