INTERNATIONAL SKILLS DIPLOMA SEAL
In today’s global marketplace, it is important for students to acquire the interdisciplinary skills they need to be globally competent and competitive. The International Skills Diploma Seal is awarded to graduating high school students who complete an international education curriculum and engage in extracurricular activities and experiences that foster the achievement of global competencies. GEORGIA SEAL OF BILITERACY
The Georgia Seal of Biliteracy recognizes high school graduates who have obtained the highest levels of proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in one or more languages in addition to English. The purposes of the Georgia Seal of Biliteracy is to encourage pupils to study foreign languages; to certify attainment of biliteracy; to provide employers with a method to identify people with language and biliteracy skills; to provide universities with a method to recognize and give academic credit to applicants seeking admission; and to recognize and promote
foreign language instruction in public schools.
To qualify for the Georgia Seal of Biliteracy, a high school graduate shall meet the following criteria:
1. Completion of all English language arts requirements for graduation with an overall grade point average of 3.0 or above in those classes; and
2. Proficiency in one or more languages other than English, demonstrated by passing a foreign language advanced placement examination with a score of 4 or higher
The Department of Education shall prepare and deliver to participating local school systems an appropriate insignia to be affixed to the diploma or transcript of the pupil indicating that such pupil has been awarded a Georgia Seal of Biliteracy. Need tutorial?
We have several services available for anyone who needs extra help.
- Mu Alpha Theta has math tutorial every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:40-3:40 in room 230.
- Classroom teachers have their own individual tutorial days. Speak to your teacher for their day and time.
- Live Oak Public Libraries have free tutorial services and recourses for students High School - STUDENT SUCCESS - Live Oak Public Libraries at Live Oak Public Libraries (liveoakpl.org) .
- GA Tutor is available through Powerschool. This is a free online tutorial with a certified teacher.

There are two ways that you can request transcript to be sent to a college, scholarship, or other programs.
Option 1: For Georgia colleges, you can submit an electronic request through www.gafutures.org
Option 2: -For ALL out of state colleges and other requests you can submit your request through Ms. Cope in Room 5.

Community Service Requirements
In addition to successfully completing all academic and attendance requirements as outlined by SCCPSS and the state of Georgia every student must complete a minimum of 20 hours of community service. For students entering SCCPSS from private or out of county school after 9th grade, use this scaled system as follows:
Enters as a 10th grader – 15 hours,
Enters as an 11th grader 1st semester – 10 hours,
Enters as an 11th grader 2nd semester - 5 hrs.
