Tumuaki Korero
Kia ora e te whānau,
Welcome back to school, another busy and exciting term ahead of us. The teaching team were so excited to see our gorgeous tamariki back at school on Monday and what a lovely and settled week it has been.
This week we have our Learning Conferences, a time for whanau and teachers to connect and set goals for our tamariki. This is important, as we are all a team, working together to support our children to be successful and happy in their learning journey. If you were not able to make a time to meet with your child’s teacher, please feel free to either email or pop in to see them to make a time that works.
On a Monday afternoon, in the Spring Creek Community, Aaron from Legion Taekwondo takes sessions for students and siblings from Spring Creek School. Legion Taekwon-Do is a dynamic martial art, and it is also an exciting sport suitable for all ages and abilities. Classes are for everyone from beginning to advanced level.
Focused mind, disciplined body and pure spirit through community participation is their motto. Keeping this in mind, they encourage individual growth through a family feel atmosphere whilst practicing Taekwon-Do techniques.
Fees will be free to any Spring Creek School students and to the Spring Creek community. Sessions are from 3.15 - 4.15pm during term time only.
We also are excited to have Jessie Sawyers teaching keyboard lessons on a Tuesday. If your child is interested in learning keyboard, give us a call, email or pop in and see us.
We have been enjoying our delicious lunches provided by Ngati Rarua, especially the warm kai on a chilly winters day. The butter chicken was a hit on Tuesday! So yum! Please let us know if your child has any dietary requirements or food allergies.
Me mahi tahi tātau mō te oranga o te katoa.
Working together for all to succeed, nobody is left behind.
Have a lovely rest of the week.
Ngā manaakitanga,
Cheryl Alderlieste
