We know that as your children approach 4th, 5th, 6th grades and beyond, you have options in your child's education. At Kramer, we are committed to providing our students with enriching experiences that support their academic growth and personal development. We are excited to invite you to learn more about the fantastic opportunities available for your children, both at Kramer and as they transition to Franklin Middle School.

First Nine Weeks Awards
You may have noticed the first nine weeks awards on the Kramer Calendar. For the first 9 Weeks, we will be recognizing students who have had perfect attendance. Parents will not be included in this particular in-class recognition, but will be in future Kramer awards ceremonies. Thank you!

YMCA Holiday Hours
YMCA will offer a holiday camp at the T. Boone Pickens Family YMCA on October 10, 11, and 14, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. This camp is available for families who may need care during these dates when DISD is off.

We would greatly appreciate your help in spreading the word! Please note that participation is open to everyone, even if they are not enrolled in YMCA Afterschool programs. However, if their child is 4 years old, they must be enrolled in our YMCA Afterschool program to participate.

The September edition of the Dallas ISD Family Newsletter is now available!
Following the positive reception of our August edition, which was viewed by over 3,000 parents, we are eager to keep the momentum going. This month’s newsletter includes valuable updates, new segments, and insights to support our students and families.

Arrival and Dismissal
Morning Arrival: 7:30am- 8:00am
Arrival Reminders
- Students who arrive after 8:00am will be counted TARDY.
- NO ADULT SUPERVISION AT STUDENT ENTRANCE AFTER 8:10AM. Students who arrive after 8:10am must be walked by their parents to the visitor entrance and sign them in.
Carpool Drop-Off Instructions:
Location: Westbound on Midbury, from St. Michaels.
Important Parking Information:
No Parking Zones: Due to safety, limited space and ongoing construction, we encourage you to utilize the carpool line. Please do not park on Midbury or St. Judes
Staff Parking Lot: Do not enter the staff parking lot.

Afternoon Dismissal begins at 3:20pm
Dismissal Reminders
- 2nd graders have joined the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade carpool group UNLESS they have a younger sibling. If they have a younger sibling, 2nd-5th graders will exit with their younger siblings to Midbury Dr. PLEASE USE CROSSWALKS when picking students up in this location.
- If your child can see your car, they will be released by their teacher to come to you (using crosswalks). If your car is not visible, please walk up to pick up your child from the teacher
Reminders
Dismissal of Pre-K, Kinder, 1st and their older siblings:
Carpool Direction: JOIN THE CARPOOL LINE FROM ST. MICHAELS and continue Westbound on Midbury, from St. Michaels.
Staff Parking Lot: Do not enter the staff parking lot.
Parking: Do not park on Midbury or St. Judes. We encourage use the carpool process instead.
Dismissal of 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th graders:
Pick-Up Location: Tunica Dr, in the southbound direction.
Students will be supervised by teachers and load into cars from gate exit by the portables
Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring a smooth and efficient dismissal process!
Dress Code for Students

Navy Blue, Kelly Green, or White Shirts are acceptable.
Bus Information
Students who ride the bus will exit and board the buses on St. Judes.

- If your child receives transportation through Special Education services, that will be arranged through the Special Education Department.
YMCA After-School Program
The YMCA offers an after school care program on the Kramer campus
Space
The construction outside of the building will continue through the school year.
Please know that the active work should not impact the learning environment for our students. The work locations will work around student presence and hours.
All construction workers have passed a background check through Dallas ISD and must receive safety trainings before entering the site.

Most work inside the existing building has been completed. The next steps in the process are the construction of the updated entry vestibule and the addition of the new wing.
The additional playground equipment is set to arrive in September.

School Hours
School times are 8:00-3:20pm.
Doors open at 7:30am.
After 8:00am, students will be considered tardy.
Attendance is imperative! Please ensure that your child is at school on time on a daily basis.
Please contact Ms. Espinoza for additional information regarding attendance at 972-749-8300.

The district has provided clear backpacks for every student. If you do not have one, please ask your child's teacher. The district will not provide mesh backpacks. Click HERE for more information.
