Adams Family newsletter
December 9 - December 13
From the Principal's Desk
Hello Redhawks,
We hope that you and your family had a nice, relaxing weekend. Please see below for all of the info for this week.
On Tuesday and Wednesday our students in grades 3-5 will be taking the NWEA MAP Math assessment. The Adams staff will review the results so that we can see the growth each student has made this year as well as help us meet the needs of each of our students. Please encourage your student to try their best on these assessments. We will take the NWEA MAP Reading assessment in grades 4 and 5 after winter break. Questions can be directed to Jack Shields, Assistant Principal. jack.shields@ahschools.us
Let's have a great week!

Watch D.O.G.S.
Watch D.O.G.S. may stand for “Dads Of Great Students,” but if you’re an adult male who’s a positive role model for an Adams student, this one is for you! Come hang out with our students at recess to provide extra supervision…and maybe even play a little. Sign up here if you’re interested in learning more.
Skillbuilders
Skillbuilders is a program that helps students with basic reading and math skills. When students get too far behind, they can't understand what their teacher is explaining. This program aims to decrease that gap. If you can help our youngest learners identify the alphabet, practice letter sounds, and count to 20 - sign up today!
Be the first to hear of new opportunities by filling out the application today!
Community Education
Basketball Program
This basketball program delivers a structured, enjoyable, and informative sports experience. Emphasizing that youth sports encompass more than just abilities and results, we focus on imparting valuable sportsmanship values alongside teaching the game. Recognizing and honoring players who exemplify these values is central to our approach. Our goal is to empower children to thrive in life through the avenue of sports. There is a 4:05 pm session and a 5:15 pm session.
