The Panther Pulse
Pershing Middle School Newsletter: Vol. 3, Edition 28
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Panther Families,
A big thank you to Patrick Henry High School, their ASB & Link Crew, as well as their principal, Dr. Sandra White, for the warm welcome our 8th graders received when they visited the school on Future Patriot Day last Tuesday. Students had a chance to tour the campus, participate Pep Assembly activities and learn about different programs Patrick Henry offers. Below are some great pictures from the days events. I have no doubt our 8th graders will thrive when they attend high school next year!
I also want to remind our 6th grade families that 6th Grade Camp is only two weeks away! I cannot believe the date is nearly here. There is a lot of important information in the 6th grade camp section below that I encourage you to read through carefully and I also wanted to share our sixth grade camp logistics letter that provides more detailed information about what will happen on Monday, March 24 when students depart for camp and the plan when students return on Friday, March 28. And of course one of our veteran sixth grade teachers, Ms. Robe, has graciously agreed to host a Tips & Tricks online meeting this Wednesday (details are below in the camp section) to answer any lingering questions families may have to make sure they are ready to go to camp.
And finally, the newsletter is out a little early this weekend because our Foundation is partnering with the new Chipotle Restaurant on Navajo for a dineout fundraiser, today - Sunday, March 4 from 4-8 PM. Enjoy some delicious food and help support our Foundation and raise money so that our Pershing students can keep enjoying these great experiences like sixth grade camp!
Sincerely,
Melanie Kray
