Students are extended the privilege of possessing phones/smartwatches on school grounds; however, their use is limited to after-school dismissal and non-school days. These devices must be in the off position, or not used once the student arrives on campus until the end of the school day

Organic Life, the K-8 Food Service provider for CUSD 303 is looking for candidates to serve as Cashiers, Food Service Workers & Lunchroom Supervisors for the 2023-2024 school year.

- State your child’s name, their teacher's name and the reason why your child is out.
- If they are ill, please list their symptoms.
You are also welcome to email absence information to Kristin Cloy in the main office.

Prearranged absence forms are to be used for absences known in advance such as a planned vacation.

Volunteer Process
We appreciate our volunteers and value your time. When you are in the building for any reason, please be respectful of classroom instruction and do not make unexpected visits to your child's classroom. Thank you for helping us minimize classroom disruptions.
Health Office
Kindergarten and 2nd grade parents please be on the lookout for dental reminders. If your child does not have an up to date dental exam on file in the health office you will receive a reminder letter. The dental examination is required for your child to be in compliance with Illinois School Health requirements. For your child to be in compliance with School health requirements, one of the following must be completed before May 01, 2024
- Submit a completed dental form. A dental exam, performed by a licensed dentist, and completed in the last 18 months.
- Complete a “waiver” form. The Illinois Department of Public Health has established a waiver for children who show undue burden or lack of access to a dentist.
- Provide an appointment card. Parents or legal guardians must present proof that the dental examination will take place within 60 days after May 01,2024.
If you have any questions regarding the dental health requirements, please contact the Health Office at Bell Graham Elementary (331-228-2104). A dental examination report form can be downloaded form the district website under the Departments tab or Parent/Community tab.

COMMITTEE CHAIR SPOTLIGHT
This week, we spotlight NESSA HENDRIKSEN who chairs Yearbook! Nessa is the sole person responsible for that awesome yearbook every year! She also runs a yearbook class during ASE where the fifth graders get to select photographs and format pages. Nessa has been an active member of the PTO for over 11 years and has been in charge of Yearbook for seven of those years! Bell Graham would not be the place it is without this creative mom. Thank you Nessa for all you do for BG!!!
TALENT SHOW - ACTS NEEDED by 4/15!
The Bell Graham Talent Show is returning Friday, April 26 at St Charles East High School! Be creative and share your talent! Wondering what kind of acts we want? Acting, Cheerleading, Comedy, Dancing, Singing, Musical Instruments, Juggling, Skits, Group Performances, etc.
Guideline for Acts
2ish minutes per act
Only one act per student (unless in a large group act)
No outside participants allowed (only Bobcats)
Music and dress must be grade school appropriate (no swear words or suggestive music--check out Kidz Bop!). If you are unsure, it probably means you should pick something else!
Dress Rehearsal
ALL ACTS must attend dress rehearsal on Thursday April 25th (contact me if this is an issue)
Rehearsal times will be assigned and communicated via e-mail
All performers must attend rehearsal in costume and bring any props
SIGN UP NOW!!!!! ALL acts interested in performing in the Talent show must complete the
QUESTIONNAIRE and submit no later than April 15th. Acts will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. The number of acts may have to be limited based on time constraints. Please note, we will only allow a song to be used 2 times, again first come first serve! So if you are thinking about using a popular song get your registration in ASAP!!!

USED BOOK SALE - BOOKS NEEDED
Time to “Spring clean” that bookshelf! Donate your used, no-longer-read books to the Bell Graham Used Book Sale! Donations will be accepted now through April 17th for the Used Book Sale taking place on April 18th. All genres and reading levels accepted! All leftover books will be donated to Bernie’s Book Drive following the event.

SHOUT OUTS
Did your kiddo make an awesome play at their baseball game? Did they win an event in gymnastics? Is it their birthday? Do you just want to make a random day special for them? Send them a SHOUT OUT!! For $10 you can have 5 pictures along with a message displayed on the TV screen outside of the LRC for an entire day. After making your purchase in the Square Store, please send an email to Alicia Flint at aliciafulgencioflint@yahoo.com with your pictures, message and date to be displayed. Pictures MUST be sent 7 days prior to the desired display date or we cannot guarantee your message will be loaded in time.

Please call the office when you are 5 minutes away and we will have your child ready and waiting for you at the office. You will have to press the buzzer to come inside the vestibule to sign them out on our iPad. 331-228-2100
Lunch With a Loved One Guidelines
- 1 lunch with a loved one per student each year
- Only bring food for child and/or yourself
- Stay for lunch ONLY, recess is not included
- Bring your ID for check in

CUSD 303 Information
Boundary Updates
The District 303 Board has approved boundary maps for elementary, middle, and high schools. Maps are effective with the 2024-2025 school year beginning this fall. The Board's decision completes a process that began last fall to reduce school overcrowding and help to ensure equitable learning experiences across the District. District 303 had contracted with demographer RSP & Associates to create concept maps based on Board-approved guiding principles and community feedback. Please see the parent notice from Superintendent Gordon to learn more and review the approved maps.
