VOICE OF AN EAGLE
The Voice of an Eagle 4.0 this year focused mostly on elocution, composure, elegance, and confidence in speech delivery under the theme, Molding tomorrow's leaders through rhetoric. A large number of students answered the call to become proficient in public speaking this year. Following several training sessions, mentorship programs, and lectures by well-known individuals whose words have altered the path of history, three students out of ten stood out to demonstrate creative and critical thinking skills. Richard Achampong, MYP Year 2, emerged as the winner of The Voice of an Eagle, closely followed by Ama Ampaw, MYP Year 4, and Herbert Amos, MYP Year 4.
CULTURAL EXPLORATION
This edition highlights the exciting outcome of our MYP year 3 students' cultural exploration. As part of their summative assessment, they organized a vibrant Cultural Exchange Symposium, showcasing their understanding of diverse cultures from around the world. This event was a celebration of their learning journey, where students shared their research, traditions, and perspectives through engaging presentations, performances, and displays. We are proud of their hard work and enthusiasm.
STUDENTS AS AUTHORS
Meet Ewurakua Afriyie Asare- Danquah, an MYP Year 1 student in Barack Obama and an avid writer. Inspired by her mother, who is also an author, her love for reading and unwavering interest in English Language and literature, coupled with her excellent writing skills in her favorite subject (ELL), she began her journey into writing at the tender age of nine, starting with poems and expanding this skill into prose fiction.
Ewurakua is also an active member of the CIA book club where she leads most of the club activities. She is looking forward to extending her passion in the CIA writers and debaters club. Her latest accomplishment is the thought-provoking novel, "No. 10 Purple Street," which delves into themes of friendship, family ties, and good neighborliness, catering specifically to teenagers just like her.
This inspiring piece is now available on various platforms such as Amazon, eBay, Everand, Booktopia, Walmart, Mighty Ape, and more.
