Highlights of the week
As we approach the final three weeks of term, our school is buzzing with excitement and activity. Firstly, a huge congratulations to our Year 10 students, who have just completed their first mock examinations in the hall. Their maturity and composure under pressure have been remarkable. Witnessing Year 10s diligently revising around the school, using flash cards and quizzing each other, truly showcases their commitment to academic excellence.
We are also incredibly proud of the 70 students who participated in the Richmond Borough Athletics event. Their performances were outstanding, with many achieving personal bests. The glorious weather complemented their exemplary behaviour, and if there had been an award for conduct, our students would certainly have clinched the gold.
The Addams Family auditions last night were a tremendous success. The level of professionalism and enthusiasm displayed by our students was superb, and we eagerly await the announcement of the cast list at 3pm today.
In addition, we have had the pleasure of welcoming Year 5 students from Bishop Perrin Primary and some of our new Year 6 students with additional needs. On Monday, we look forward to welcoming our entire new cohort of Year 6 students for their induction day. It promises to be an exciting day for everyone involved.
We also finish celebrating Pride Month, supporting for our LGBTQ+ community, and we wish everyone joining the festivities this weekend a wonderful time. Pride is a great opportunity to celebrate diversity, promote inclusion, and stand together as a united and accepting school community.
Finally, a gentle reminder to ensure that all students attend school every day, as we continue with normal lessons which are crucial for their learning.
Thank you for your continued support.
