Our 5th grade class had the opportunity to go to Dordt University and spend time learning all about agriculture at Dordt's annual Ag Day.

Four of our 8th grade students traveled to Northwestern to participate in a math bee. The students who participated were: Marshal Kelderman, Grady Van Zee, Katie Saeger, and Jaidyn Blankespoor.

The Change Challenge was a success! Thank you, students, for your participation. The Preschool through 2nd grade students were the winners with $400.26. Grades 3rd through 5th raised $284.18; Grades 6th through 8th raised $135.17. Total of giving from RVCS was $820.50.

What does it mean to be made in God’s image? You are invited to the Rock Valley Christian School Art Show and K-5 Program on May 2 to find out! This event will be held at First CRC; the program begins at 6:30pm. Students should arrive by 6:20pm. Feel free to come beforehand to check out the art. Refreshments will be provided afterwards. (this part is optional). Artwork will also be available for viewing during the school day on Friday, May 3.

Volunteers Needed!

I am excited to announce that we will be holding an art show to celebrate the creative gifts God has given our students at RVCS! Every student, K-8, will have a piece of art in the show.

In order to make this possible, I am looking for a few parent volunteers to help hang the 200+ artworks that will be displayed. No art skills needed, just hands willing to help! The Arrows Jog-A-Thon will be held on Friday, May 10 from 1-3pm. Your child should have come home with handouts earlier this week. The office has extra forms if you are needing more. The students will be running by class this year. If you would like to join your student by running or walking a lap with your student, please see the running schedule below.
