GATE: Gifted and Talented Education Parent Workshop
Please join us on Thursday, November 7th at 9am for our Gifted and Talented Programs workshop. You will learn about the identification, categories and resources, as well as options available to our gifted and talented students.
Friendly Reminders
Restroom Policy
Restrooms are available during lunch and throughout all passing periods. Please note that bathrooms will be closed during the first and last 10 minutes of each class period. The nurse's restroom is accessible at all times for emergencies. Students are encouraged to be considerate and make the most of their instructional time.
Student Drop Off/Pick Up
The main entrance is on Broadway and will be open from 7:45am-3:45pm. Students may also enter school at the Alta Street gate and at the Lincoln Park Avenue gate from 7:45am-8:30am. After school the Alta Street and Broadway gates will close at 3:45pm. The Lincoln Park Avenue gate will close at 5pm.

Library Resources
In addition to our collection at Lincoln Library, students have access to the endless resources at Los Angeles Public Library through their Student Success Card and PIN, which is available to them on Schoology. The Lincoln Library Team students have put together their selections from LAPL's Sora, Libby and Hoopla Digital platforms (see below), which are also available to all city of Los Angeles residents with a *free* library card. You can apply here and take advantage of their unlimited resources.
Lincoln Library Extended Hours
Lincoln Library is excited to share expanded hours programs starting on September 16th before and after school that will also earn students community service hours.
Tuesdays and Fridays join Ms. Moayeri @ 8AM for "Mindful Mornings" where we will start our day with some meditation, relaxation, games and general chilling out to ward off stress and anxiety.
Thursdays join Ms. Crabree & Ms. Moayeri after school for "Battle of the Books" where we will read some fun titles then go head-to-head with other high schools, annihilating their book knowledge for a trophy, free food, free books and best of all, bragging rights.

Community Service @ LAPL Lincoln Heights Branch
The Lincoln Heights Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library is offering volunteer hours, in-person or virtually, for Lincoln students. Students can reach out to our LHS librarian Ms. Moayeri, or they can reach out to Ms. Kelcey Soderstrom, the young adult librarian at the branch. Ms. Kelcey is very nice, volunteering is easy and fun, and students can get up to 20 hours per month! Remember that community service hours are a requirement for student’s senior portfolios before graduation.
