Hello Tiger Paw Families,

I am the school social worker here at Tiger Paw and I love my job! I am so excited to be back at school and getting to know your student. If this is your first year at Tiger Paw, I wanted to let you know some of the things I do here at Tiger Paw and how I can help your child and your family.

Social and Emotional Skills. I go into the classrooms and teach about social and emotional skills. One of the main resources that I use to teach social and emotional skills are the SPOT books written and illustrated by Diane Alber. These lessons help our students name their emotions/feelings and help them to manage their emotions.

In September the books I will read are A Little Scribble SPOT - (A story about Colorful Emotions) and for our youngest learners, I read A Little SPOT - My First Emotions. In small groups, I will read Feelings Island (An emotional adventure) and A Little SPOT of Feelings (Emotion Detective).

Care to Learn weekend food bags . This is a free program where we will send home a weekend food bag with your child which has snacks and meal items for the weekend. If you would like to sign up for this program, please contact me or your student’s teacher and we will get you the QR code or link to sign up.

• The doors on Fourth Street are emergency exit only. The entrance is around back where the parking lot is located.
• Please consider installing your child's carseat on the passenger side of the vehicle.
• When dropping off your child, please remain in your vehicle. Staff will unbuckle your child and walk them to the door.
• When picking up your child, staff cannot buckle up children. If your child needs assistance, please pull around before stopping to buckle up your child so the line can continue smoothly.
• Exit out of the parking lot the same way you entered. The exit on the southeast side of the parking lot is the bus lane.
