Mrs. Lake's Weekly Update
March 3, 2024
Dear All Saints Families,
This week I am sharing with you a letter of gratitude from Deacon Matthew Valles for your generous monetary gifts and well wishes sent to him in January when he was ordained a Deacon.
I am entirely overwhelmed with gratitude for all of the many gifts that everyone in the All Saints Catholic School community gave to me for my 2024 ordination to the diaconate. As I was going through the letters and cards that everyone sent me, I felt very much so loved by the All Saints Catholic school community. It made me think of the love that I felt during my ordination.
During my ordination, I felt the love of the community most particularly when I was lying face down on the floor at the Cathedral. This was the part of the Mass when the cantor sang the Litany of the Saints. I felt very much so loved by all the names of the Saints whose names we sung, as well as all the people in the Church. I also very much so felt the love of many people who could not make it for the event.
I felt as thought I would not have been ordained a deacon if it had not been for so many people who have supported me. The All Saints Catholic School community played a significant role in helping me to be the Deacon that I am today. In gratitude, I look forward to doing whatever it is I can to serve All Saints Catholic School.
I send my best to all the students, faculty, and staff who make All Saints School possible. I assure you of my prayers for everyone at the school. I love you all very much and look forward to seeing you soon.
May God bless you; may our Lady wrap you in her mantle; and, may St. Joseph protect you beneath his cloak.
Peace,
D. Matthew Valles
