Hello Salemwood Families!

We hope you had a restful and wonderful holiday and winter break! Happy and Healthy 2024! We are so excited to welcome our students back to school and look forward to continuing our 2023-2024 school year! We would like to remind families to please make sure that students are coming to school each day, on time. With the cold winter weather upon us, please make sure that our students arrive as close to the school time as possible since our doors are not open prior to that time. Friendly reminder, Kindergarten to Grade 6 school hours are 8:15am-2:15pm; Grade 7 & Grade 8 school hours are 7:45-2:20pm.

We wanted to let you know that ACCESS testing is starting this month for our Kindergarten through Grade 8 students. We hope that you are able to assist us with making sure that our students get the much needed rest the night before and have a good breakfast (at home or in school) so that they are focused and successful with the test.

With the cold weather settled in, our school has a collection of jackets that have been kindly donated by our local community. If your student is in need of a jacket for winter, please contact Ms. Van with your student's name and jacket size. Not all sizes are available.

As the weather is getting colder, we kindly remind families that school starts at 8:15 for grades K-6 and 8AM for grades 7-8. Please plan to have students arrive to school when school opens for them. Children are not allowed into the building before school as there is no one available to watch them. Additionally, there is no supervision before or afterschool on the school grounds or playground

If your plan is to leave the car to accompany your child to their line please note, there is no parking or drop off in the school parking lot. The spaces are reserved for staff so the teachers are able to welcome our students on time.

Please be mindful of our neighbors. Do not park in such a way as to block driveways to make the street impassable.
