Principal Update

Hello Jag Nation,


We hope that you are ready for fall and some cooler weather. As I have shared in a number of my voicemail messages, this has been the best start to a school year since I joined this school community 2 years ago. Our students have done an excellent job in their academics, athletics and community service events. In this newsletter I will share a number of pictures of some of the things we have done during the month of September.


I would also like to share that we have been rated as a Performance School from the state. This is the highest rating a school can receive. We know there is room for growth and we will continue to strive to increase academic achievement and growth.


We have our conferences coming up on October 14th and October 23rd and we look forward to seeing you on one of those days. As always, please reach out with any questions.

Care Closet Community Fundraiser: Jenkins made the news with this!!!

The results are in for the clothing and toiletries drive.


1st place: 8th Grade with 1,767 points.

2nd place: 7th grade with 1,397 points.

3rd place: 6th grade with 918 points.

Counseling Corner

The counseling department wrapped up a successful HOPE Month. All grade levels received classroom guidance lessons from the counseling team in September. As we move into second quarter, we will be starting some different counseling groups to support a variety of students. We are excited to continue supporting our Jenkins community!
