MAY 2025
A NOTE FROM PRINCIPAL BOUMA
Dear Lincoln Families,
It’s hard to believe we have one more month until the end of another school year. As I walk the halls and peek into classrooms, I see how much our students have grown—not just in what they’ve learned, but in who they are. Their confidence, their curiosity, their kindness... it’s been such a joy to watch them shine. They’ve truly been glowing and growing, and I couldn’t be more proud of each and every Lincoln student.
To our families—thank you. Thank you for the notes of encouragement, the late-night homework help, the presence at concerts and conferences, and for being such vital partners in this journey.
A special shout-out to those of you who brought in pop tabs for our collection this year. It might seem like a small thing, but those tabs will go on to help others in meaningful ways—and that spirit of giving is something we’re so proud to instill in our students.
I wish you all a great May!
Principal Amy Bouma

NEW DISMISSAL PROCEDURE
📢 Important 2024-2025 Update: New Dismissal Procedure! 🚸
Dear Lincoln Families,
We are excited to announce a new dismissal procedure designed to ensure the safety and efficiency of our student pick-up process. Starting on the first day of school (August 28th, 2024), please follow these expectations if you are planning to pick up your child(ren) at the end of the day:
When picking up your child, pull up to the curb and make sure your car sign is visible so Lincoln staff can see which car students will be going into. You will be able to get your car sign at Meet and Greets.
Stay in Your Vehicle: For safety and efficiency, remain in your vehicle at all times. Do not get out of your vehicle to wait for your child at the front door.
All teachers will bring pick up students to the Link. When the dismissal bell rings, a Lincoln staff member will come by your vehicle to read your children’s names and will communicate with a staff member in the Link to let your children know you are here to pick them up. Students will be escorted to the pick up zone and your child will get into your vehicle. After your child is safely in your vehicle, you should slowly and safely pull back into traffic.
Please remember that you should never make a u turn in the middle of the street. This could be dangerous not only for your child, but for other students or families. Always be safe and watch for others. Please do NOT park on the east side of Lincoln Ave. If you have a meeting after school and plan to get out of your vehicle, you must park in the parking lot and walk to the front doors. You will not be allowed to park by the curb and get out of your vehicle.
As a reminder, the dismissal bell rings at 2:55pm. Your cooperation is crucial in making this process smooth and safe for everyone. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact the school office.
Thank you to the Faribault Police Department for your collaboration in helping ensure this new process will be safe and successful for our Lincoln community. Thank you for your understanding and support as we implement this new procedure!
