Hungate Echo
Autumn Term 2, Week 5
A word from Mr Broom
I can't wait for next week! It's the start of festivities with the PFA Christmas Fair on Wednesday. It's sure to be an event not to be missed and I'm looking forward to seeing many of you there.
Meanwhile in school, it's been the last of the pupil progress meetings and a delight to see the way in which our children continue to access their learning in exciting ways that make the knowledge stick. Our new teachers, led by Miss Mackay, have also completed a super round of professional development and it's a pleasure to have so many talented individuals on the staff team.
With time ticking, if you're out and about this weekend, have a super, festive time.

Redeem your vouchers for free holiday activities and food this Christmas
On Monday 25th November we issued vouchers to all families whose children/young people are eligible for free places on FEAST activities this Christmas. You should have received this via email or text, from a platform called Holiday Activities. Follow the link in this email/text to redeem your voucher and book your childβs place on some of the fantastic activities on offer in our area.
Donβt worry if thereβs a waiting list - it doesnβt always mean that an activity is full. To ensure that a wide range of families get to take part in FEAST, providers to wait a number of days after vouchers are issued before accepting any bookings. Please request a place and you should receive a notification from Holiday Activities if your place is confirmed.
If you believe your child is eligible and you have not yet received your voucher, or you have lost it, please contact the school office.
To learn more about FEAST, and for information on activities, eligibility and how to manage your bookings, visit the website https://northyorkshiretogether.co.uk/feast-activities/

Following feedback from our parent governors, we've updated the way that the weekly Hungate Echo works so that it is sharper with information you need. A new newsletter, known as the Echo Regulars will contain all the most important regular information that our families may need. It has a permanent home on our website at the link below. Here you will find community events, regular reminders and key information. When I update it, I'll put a short line at the bottom of the Hungate Echo to let you know.
