Principal's Pen
Congratulations to Unit A teacher, Mrs. Mincke, for being recognized as Outstanding K-2 Educator for all of CPS! Mrs. Mincke had so many colleagues, parents and students write her heartwarming letters of support. We presented her with the packet of letters so that she could read through all of the amazing things people had to say about her. On Tuesday morning her family and the district “prize patrol” surprised her with the award (and got to celebrate with her class). Mrs. Mincke is such a dedicated teacher who has such a profound impact on her learners and our community as a whole. We are so lucky to have her!
Next week is Kindness Week! Please read the Specialist Update below for more information about themes and events next week!

Unit Notes
Unit A
We are looking forward to celebrating math night with you on Tuesday, March 19, from 5:00-6:00. There is a flier in your child’s Friday folder today.
Unit B
We are sending home a letter regarding t-shirt sizes for a classroom project. Please check your child’s backpack and mark your preferred size.
Unit C
In Friday Folders today, you should find a letter printed on gold paper about IGE projects. In Unit C, this is a project focused on the student’s learning throughout the school year and it is a project completed at home. The letter gives greater detail so please go over it with your child.
