MUMS Family Newsletter
March 29, 2024
Dear MUMS community,
I hope this message finds you well. This week we finished off our Penny challenge here at MUMS and raised a decent amount of money for all grades end of the year trips! Thanks for the support with this fundraiser.
Additionally this week, we prepared for the VTCAP tests that begin on Monday. We will test Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Please be sure your student eats well and gets lots of rest this weekend and next week so that they are as ready as they can be.
Lastly, the Quarter ends today. We will be working on report cards next week and plan to mail them home early on the week of the 8th.
Thanks for all you do to support your student and MUMS!
If you have questions generally, please reach out to us at mwisell@acsdvt.org (Michaela)

From our MYP Coordinators
Any time we can expose students to people from a different country, we hope they grow in their understanding of the world, their curiosity about other cultures, and their ability to see things from more than one perspective. We also hope that it inspires them to be invested in learning a second language!
Ms. Berube invited a guest speaker from Paris, friends with one of our MUMS families, who spoke to the students about the importance of learning a language (he speaks French, German and English!). He is visiting the US for 90 days and was kind enough to share his time with MUMS students. He discussed the advantages of knowing another language in terms of jobs, travel, and meeting people. He answered questions from students about food, art, school and life in France. From here, he heads to Colorado and California through the WWOOF (Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms) program! Thank you, Ms. Berube, for helping with the international-mindedness of our students!
Pam Quinn and Eileen Sears, MYP Coordinators
