Dear Parents and Carers
What a wonderful turn out of families for our Parent/Carer ‘Meet and Greet’, we truly appreciate this partnership with you for the 2024 academic year.
A very big thank you to the P&F for hosting our annual Sundowner picnic. Despite a difficult start with the foam canons, all turned out well in the end. We have a wonderfully dynamic and dedicated P&F committee, and we truly appreciate their efforts to make the evening so special. It was a wonderful event.
Congratulations to Amberley (Kindy) and Leon (PP) who each won a uniform shirt and a hat for their family's attendance at the Meet and Greet. If you have indicated your interest in Parent Rep, we will contact you with more information for your role. If there are any classes that still require a Rep, Teachers will reach out on Seesaw.
This week at assembly I discussed Level 3 greetings with our students. A Level 3 greeting ensures that everyone in our school community feels a strong sense of belonging. A Level 3 greeting is one where we say hello or good morning, then use the person’s name and wish them well or give them a smile. If we all went about our day acknowledging others in this way, imagine the sense of friendliness and joy we would feel in our school. I have challenged the students, and now I am challenging our parent/carer and staff community too, to use Level 3 greetings for everyone you pass in a day.
Next week we celebrate Wellness Week which is a termly focus on staff and student wellbeing. The week is a short one with a public holiday on Monday, so I am sure that a little sleep in on Monday will be wonderful wellbeing treat for us all.
God bless you all.
