4-H Enrollment
Clover kids (ages 5-7 yrs old as of January 1st) need to be enrolled in 4-H in order to participate.

Clover Kids can participate in as many species as they want
The following do NOT need to be done for entry
- No tag
- No ID Sheet
- No YQCA
Clover Kid Entry- due July 15th by 5:00 p.m.
Registration opens June 17th
Small Animal Show
Poultry, Broiler, Rabbit
When:
- Thursday, July 25th at 3:00 p.m.
- Check-In at 2:00p.m. -2:30 p.m.
- Poultry/Rabbit Complex
Large Animal Show
Beef Cattle, Dairy Cattle, Dairy Goats, Meat Goats, Hogs, Sheep
Livestock must be under 350lbs
When:
- Saturday, July 27th; 30 mins after the hog show
- Check-In at 11:30a.m.- 12:30 p.m.- Livestock will be weighed
- Main Livestock Area #1 Barn
Stalling
- There will be minimal stalling for the day of the show for any new animals brought it the day of
- Livestock brought in for clover kid show come the day of and leave the day of
Show Attire
- Clover kids are to wear 4-H attire
- A Clover kid show shirt will be provided
Show Awards
- Every Clover kid will get the same award, a custom Clover kid ribbon
- Per 4-H policy, the Clover kid livestock show is non-competitive. Therefore, while showing their animals they will not be placed. However, this is an opportunity to give Clover kids get an in-depth experience and explore livestock project areas before they become of 4-H age.
Structure of the Show
- The shows would be structured similarly to the regular 4-H shows, where Clover kids will show the animals in front of the judge, walk in the ring, and practice their showmanship skills for the species that they are showing. However, per 4-H policy, the Clover kids show would be non-competitive. Each participant would receive a Clover kids ribbon and a show shirt for participating.
- The show will be broken down in the ring by species with 5 Clover kids in the ring per class. 5 older youth volunteers (per 4-H policy) comfortable with the species, one adult ring man, and the judge will also be present in the ring. The youth volunteers will not be on the end of the lead rope, but will be present in case the animal needs to be handed off.
- This would be a blow-and-go show. No glues or adhesives allowed
- Clover kids can participate in peewee showmanship, open class, and the Clover kid livestock show
- We hope that Clover kids have an opportunity to engage with their animal before they show-up at the County Fair and have a chance to explore the livestock project before they become 4-H age
