Spokane Valley Tech & STEM Academy
April 2024
Hello SVT Families!
We've made it to Spring Break! March has been a busy month and I think students and staff alike are looking forward to a little relaxation and change of pace next week!
This March at Spokane Valley Tech we:
- Hosted the largest SVT STEM CAMP ever with over 160 2nd-8th graders attending! It is always a fun event for everyone involved and also an important fundraiser for our clubs.
- Sent our Skills USA and HOSA clubs to state competitions. We now have 3 Skills USA students and 2 HOSA students competing in National Competitions in June! Way to go!
- Raised over $1100 for the Joya Child & Family Development Center with the NHS Pi Day Fundraiser.
- Had a Blood Drive, sponsored by our EMT and Fire Science classes and Vitalant.
- Presented to all of our students about Distracted Driving and how to be a safer driver and passenger, thanks to Providence Health.
- and TODAY, Gesa Credit Union presented the Bite of Reality Fair to all of our students, giving students a chance to learn about managing finances and executing a monthly budget. Thank you Gesa Credit Union!
There are lots of spring activities when we return from break. Read below for all the details. Have a wonderful break and we will look forward to seeing all of our students again on April 8th!
Sincerely,
Tricia Campbell, Interim Principal @ SVT
