The end of the semester is a few weeks away! Continue to monitor your students grades and progress towards graduation utilizing Aeries Parent Portal and encourage your student to check their student emails, Google Classroom, and their Aeries Student portal to check for current grades.

12th grade students:

• Continue to monitor your grades
• Remember that you must pass all your currently scheduled classes to meet your graduation requirements.
• Please check your BHS Student emails and grade level Google Classroom regularly for important information being shared in regards to graduation and end of school year activities.

BHS Counselors visited local middle schools and met with 8th grade students individually (Tier 3) to review their Aeries Academic Plans and courses selected for next school year. We are excited to see our future Cougars on school campus next school year!

California’s financial aid priority deadline for the 2024-25 academic year is May 2, 2024. Please remember that some colleges do have earlier deadlines.

Students attending California Community Colleges for the 2024-25 academic year should also apply by May 2 and no later than September 3, 2024.

Remember to launch your financial aid applications from CaliforniaColleges.edu. Having issues login in...contact your school counselor!

This month's Wellness Wednesday is on April 10th during all lunches in E-11 and E-18. The therapists will be available to help students if needed in support of "Every 15 Minutes". If you feel you need to talk to someone, please stop by.

March flew by quickly as we prepared to take our spring break at the end of the month. The therapists have been able to support even more students now that the substance use and mental wellness small groups are in full swing! Our monthly Wellness Wednesday event gave students the opportunity to express themselves through different activities. Students were able to take a break from the busy school day during lunch to practice mindfulness and enjoy a relaxing space.

On March 15th BHS held its first Student Recognition Luncheon. Congratulations to all students nominated by teachers/staff. Recognized students received a certificate and were treated to a lovely lunch provided by the amazing BHS Culinary class. Students got to enjoy their lunch with teachers who nominated students, Admin, and Counseling team.
